Bill....that is a beautiful tank! I was actually looking back on some of your posts that date to a year ago about this tank and was wondering about an update. Then I realized that I am going to see this soon. Looking forward to it!
I know that "I" am not sure. ;D
It's beena while since I have seen it with them all retracted but it looked like a rounded purple-ish, smooth head that resembled a mushroom.
Thanks. The other frags that he had.....well...still has in his 120 are in the same boat but with about twice as long extensions. Body wise though.....the same.
I have had this frag in my tank since October. A buddy of mine had a few of these that were given to him and told me to take one home. Anyways, it's been about 7 months and there hasnt been much growth at all with only the polyp extension being noticeable. I had it mid level and it didnt want to...
Nope. It seemed out of place at the Pets Plus in Delran at the time. It stuck out like a sore thumb. I think thats what made me buy it. There wasnt an inch that wasnt covored in coraline with plenty of nooks and crevices. I appreciate the effort in trying to ID. I will just have to keep a close...
Hello all...
I am looking for a new BTA for "Mator", my Gold Banded Maroon Clown. We had a green one for a few months but lost it on Christmas due to a terrible ich outbreak in which I lost almost all of my fish and the GBTA that Mator was hosting in the span of 3 days. It shriveled to almost...
Ok, I have made the decision to get rid of the 3 crabs (that I know of). I have heard of many different ways to go about this but what is the easiest route to take for this action without ripping apart the aquascaping? I'm also willing to play the "if you can catch them, you can have them" game...
Yeah, I was planning on getting a hose adaptor. I'm far from a plumber and even with a simple saddle valve, I would end up flooding the state somehow. HAHAHA
This was taken towards the end of last year. It was one of two purple mushrooms that I got from The Hidden Reef. Taken with a Sony Mavica 2MP that takes those mini cd's. LOL... I purchased a new camera (10MP) last month and find that the old sony one takes better pics.
It's about 3 1/2 inches. You can also make out a ton of micro feather dusters. I got this guy and the HUGE rock that it was attached to for the price of the leather. There was some purple pumping xenia attached to it as well but they didnt last long for some reason.
Do you guys have any more input after my update on todays post about another crab? http://www.njreefers.org/joomla/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=11225.0
I posted that last year and probably should have done it in this section.
After finding that he pushed it out, I just plunged it into the substrate right in front of that rock. http://www.njreefers.org/joomla/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=17862.0
After a few days, I moved it up half way to a different rock for more light.
Think it would be safe to leave him alone and let him have his cave? Or should I get him out? The only negative thing that I have seen it do is when I first got my hammer coral frag, I placed the base of it into that cave and the next morning, I found the hammer laying on the substrate.
I was finally able to get a pic of the crab that decided to push my hammer coral out of the rock to make a home. (I put my hammer coral here first) I have actually seen two of these types of crabs in my tank. One is slightly smaller than the other. This one being a little over an inch wide in...
Last year I had posted this thread in hopes of getting an ID on a crab. All this time has passed and I had not seen it until a couple of nights ago. I was able to snap a pic. Its hard to see but its almost in the center of the pic. Pretty hairy and from what I could tell.....no black tips on the...
I have been looking around to get my first RO/DI unit within the next few weeks (wife is getting me one for my birthday) and have been leaning towards the Typhoon 3 from AW&I.
