My falme was a nipper, once I removed him my sps all opened . I tried my best and ended up redoing most of my rockwork to remove him . Alot of work but it had to be done .
I had trouble with my flame and sps ,so if thats a future plan you may want to skip it . I know there beautiful but mine was nippy. I do not have trouble with my Hippo and Tomini . I added the Tomini way after the Hippo and no problems at all . I think it may have to do with shapes being so...
My pearlies have been busy . The male is swimming around with a mouthful of eggs again . I guess its fair to say there a mated pair,or at least freinds with benifits . ;D
I wouldnt know how to raise them nor do I have the time so they will be fishfood. :'(
Picked up a few frags from Jay today and was really happy with the quality, size and price . He also has a great tank to look at . ;D I would recommend him for anyone looking for corals.
I have had them cut glass for me . They will not drill it . You can not mix glass acrylic . The silicone wont bond to the acrylic . If you use a in sump pump you dont need bulkheads/holes drilled .
Rods food has a lot of little pieces you might wash out that Can you reduce your corals/inverts would miss . Try cutting back on feedings if possible instead .
One of my favorite size tanks . That shelf idea is great .I saw one on a thread that had the center rockwork like an island and just about touching the water surface it look real good . Cant wait to see this one full of corals .
Your old stand/furniture is beautiful looking . I am kind of an artist and can work with just about any material except wood . Give me 2 pices of wood and all I can do is start a fire with them . I wish I could build like that! It is a great talent,I hate people like you ! ;D
By the time you add up all the material cost ,not taking into account re-does ,it is not all that much cheaper to buy a proven to work skimmer . Unless you enjoy the do it yourself part.
Go with a tank for your fuge , loews will cut the glass to size. Plastic glass molding(available at loews)for cut/sharp glass edges.Aquarium silicone for adhesion . In sump pump no reason for bulkheads .It will be easier and much cheaper for you to do it this way.
About $10-15 for tank,$10-15...
I bought this fragpack from RC . The seller went out of his way to get them to me . The postal service held the package an extra day and a few frags died . Even though it was not his fault, shipped with heat packs overnight, he replaced them right away .The tenious and bonsai are beautiful . All...
