John, I think you win the prize.......I'm leaning towards limpets. Here's a closeup:

    Babies??

Popped open the canopy this morning (before lights) and saw these guys hanging out on the flare of the Loc-Line. I'm guessing baby stomatella? Anyone else care to venture what they are?

    Holy cow!

Ouch! When I don't know about a fish, I go to LiveAquaria and check out the info there. With Jawfish, first it said that they were peaceful.....and then it said to feed three times a day. Well I guess that was happening....just not by you. Sorry for your losses. Are you planning on...

Can anyone reccomend a miter saw?

Matt, I'm not sure if it's because I'm old school, but I never liked the laser. I've always just eyed it up and nudge cut to check that I'm aligned and then cut. Do the same with my radial arm saw. Also, never had a problem with the release handles...to remove the saw from the stand...

Can anyone reccomend a miter saw?

Matt, I have a 12 inch Dewalt compound with the stand. It came with the laser, but I didn't like it, and removed it. For the typical homeowner, I wouldn't recommend this saw....it's contractor quality......over kill......and I'm sick (Tim the Toolman sick).....and price, we won't talk...

Can anyone reccomend a miter saw?

Good choice. I do like the slide option with this saw. I just wish my chop saw was 200 bucks! I spent more on the stand then that.

600 gallons.....that's close to two and a half tons of water!!! Wow!

    Diy calcium reactor

When your tank crashes, you have something to blame it on! :o :o :o I'm sorry, but calc reactors still scare me from recent members who have lost everything when their calc reactors malfunctioned. Stability has nothing to do with it. I'd venture to say it's size that...

Paul, I quickly looked up craigslist.org on Staten Island and put in Ariens Snowblower and saw a crap-load available. Happy hunting.

    150G rebuilt/reset - lesson learned!

We can talk tomorrow about this....I originally had T5's before switching to LEDs. Save in electricity, heat, and yearly bulb changes. You would definitely need a minimum of three of these fixtures.

Can anyone reccomend a miter saw?

Either one fits the bill. I would like to see a taller fence so crown could be cut....but that's easily fixed by adding a piece of scrap plywood.

Majano Wand or High powered laser for aiptasia removal

The likelihood is low. The energy level is relatively low and the glass, for the most part, is clean. Just watch for conclusions or particulates in the glass.

Oh No, my snow Blower died

Paul, it originally had a Tecumseh engine, which I believe was made in Wisconson. Well, surprise, surpise, Tecumseh is out of business. Do you wish to speculate why? Deja vu moment....I had a Tecumseh on my minibike in the 60's. Anyway, I had a choice of a Briggs and Stratton, which...

    150G rebuilt/reset - lesson learned!

    1. If you only have blue and white, I would go for a total of ten hours of light and see what happens. 2 hours of blue only; 6 hours of white/blue; 2 hours of blue. If need be, extend the times out a little more. 2. I know others feed more than once a day...but once a day works for...

    150G rebuilt/reset - lesson learned!

Welcome! Answers: 1. I got rid of the crush coral I had as substrate and I am planning on using fine sand. Any advise on what would be better, sand or cc? how many inches deep for the base? Not crushed coral, but whatever Aragonite sand sparks your fancy....and with a wrasse, about 1 1/2...

Oh No, my snow Blower died

Toro 421 from 1980 for me. New motor about two years ago (from Harbor Freight.) Last week, new belts and new skids. Still throws snow, so I can't complain.
