Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I read about this in a magazine (i think it was businessweek but it might have been my wife's entertainment weekly...lol).
Anyways - hulu.com.
Forget youtube if you want to watch a real tv show or movie - this site is fantastic. Sponsored by NBC Universal - it has all legit content. Yeah they...
snails do readily try to reproduce (egg laying and what not) but the only ones I've ever seen that were successful are the ones michelle mentioned earlier in this thread - the stomatella ones. I guess the other ones are the pyramid ones but you don't want those.
At least you correctly identified the skimmer by it's true name! ;)
Since you have a sump - if you are sold on the remora - you could just get an urchin instead (same design - just in sump).
LOL...
it was all out war long ago when I got my shipment of gulf-of-mexico LR. patriot76 probably can attest to it since he got the same kind of LR.
A flashlight and long hours at night with a "claw" device worked wonders.
Ah - after a long week at work - it's nice to just relax.
Of course watching this video also cheers me up.
We're not gonna take it
(uh if you're not a fan of mario or twisted sister - this may not be your cup of tea).
@mott768
Do you have to remove the collection cup everytime to empty it or only for cleaning?
your sale post was one of the main reasons I looked into the skimmer.
@jerseywendy
Unfortunately while I love the design feature of not having to remove the collection cup from the 300S - I don't...
compact fluorescents are an old technology. I'm not knowing the halides - but CF's are known to have limited lifespans especially due to heat - and having the MH in the same fixture isn't going to help increase the lifespan.
That stated - it is a great deal if you are okay with MH/CF...
i don't think the tanks are eligible for further discount - so what you paid is the best you'll get. I got mine from AO last year too. Glad you found them!
I forget which one it was that john323 posted - but I picked up a pair of these devices as a just-in-case. Doesn't help if you're not at home but at least if I'm sleeping I should know something is amiss.

hey jon i forgot to ask you about your plumbing. What is the spraybar for - is that in the Display? Always interested in new ideas.
Also I assume the plumbing shot was sideways? Did you get all your pvc from lowes/hd or someplace else?
In this particular case - the tunze wavebox was not released in the US until last week. And only 40 total were released to these places:
Champion Lighting (pa)
Marine Depot (ca)
Salty Critter (oh
Premium Aquatics (oh)
SoCal Tropical Fish (ca)
Fins Reef
Phishy Business (oh)
AquaCave (il)

i've asked dr. ron the question and he said that red or green - they are the same crab.
The only issue though is that as crabs grow - they can be a little bit risky since when presented with a buffet of bubble algae or a buffet of tasty escargot - which do you think the crab will prefer? ;D :)
Purchased my tunze streams from tom previously (they are discontinued - otherwise I would have searched thru one of our sponsors).
Also I just placed an order for my Tunze nanowavebox - which has shipped will arrive 9-26-2008 ;D
Anyways - my prior purchase with socal was fine and i expect this...
oh ok - I didn't realize they sold red emerald crabs.
The scientific name for the emerald crab is Mithrax sculptus - so mithrax = emerald. ;D Sorry I should have italicized it as it should be in latin.
They are actually rather common in gulf of mexico live rock. Had i known I could have sold...
i can't really tell what I am looking at in the picture...I don't even see the lobo...sorry
generally speaking though - goni's are not a "new to the hobby" coral...emphasis on generally speaking. So I'm saying perhaps there is something amiss in the water params (which you should post) or...
Well at our next central nj club meeting - I'm sure you'll be close to any of those shops - plus the discount with the njrc club card doesn't hurt. Of course our next club meeting is going to be in Secaucus - not a true meeting since that will be our Frag Swap.
The thread you linked is by mikem...
what you all need to do is find a diver in Australia to ship us some crown o thorns. We rid the reefs of a predator and everyone gets a leg from that multi-legged monster.
