Definitely. You can just keep the ball valve shut on the unused ports. I usually plumb at least 1 extra when I'm doing it so it's easy to add something down the line.

Simply "T" of of your return line and add a ball valve to control the flow and hook up to your reactor. Here's my frag tank plumbing.
One feeds my carbon/gfo reactor and the other feeds the biopellets. Everything is run by a mag 5 instead of separate pump for return and each reactor.
Yup it's a return pump. I've had it for a little over a month now. Doing research before I bought it it's the same pump as the reef octopus version and is the same as the gen 1 waveline dc pumps.
How's the pressure at the membrane? My only concern would be dropping the pressure that is reaching the membrane. If the pressure at the membrane drops the effectiveness of it will be lower.

There is a pressure switch that is needed to shut off the booster pump. This is separate from the auto shut off valve. If you bought the booster pump "kit" from BRS it should come with it. If not this is what you need...
