Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Don't be too quick on blaming the quality of the bearing. I used a good quality bearing (ABEC5), and still have some noise. Others have used the lowest quality bearings (ABEC 1), and haven't had a problem. And in regard to ceramic, i know it's long, but if you want to do this replacement...
Did everyone else get the email from BRS today announcing Crystal Sea MarineMix? A little pricey, but I'm not looking to change anyway. However, I'm convinced this new salt was the product of a bunch of fraternity guys looking for opportunity. Did you see their measuring "cup" for the...
The worms do not go through the mesh.
Between water changes and the lid, I think we've found your problem. And wives are replaceable. Dance :o ....but please don't tell mine that.
Kyle you are too kind. But I only answer on a few topics that I know....DIY stuff and chemistry. I don't know anything about corals (I don't know what's in my tank), fish, music, movies, computers, phones (I don't own a cell phone...it's my wife's), wines (I'm Irish, there is no such thing...
David, I'm not talking about rinsing them before you feed......I'm saying doing a 100 percent water change of their water every day. The easiest way of doing this is by using a "Worm Keeper." It's a double container where the inside container has a mesh bottom. When you do a water change...
Were you changing the water for the worms every day.....with cold water? They do best if you do a daily water change with, at a minimum, dechlorinated water that is also kept in the refrigerator.
I would not buy an SWC until they identify and replace the Atman pump. Atman is out of business and their pumps will no longer be available. For some reason SWC has been dragging their feet in finding a replacement. For those of use with current Atman pumps, we will most likely have to buy...
Sunny, thanks for the heads up....however, the two times I went in there after their renovations, I did find the nori on the isle end, close to the cash registers, and across from a counter with a person (maybe herb counter), and they did not have the non-roasted type. Actually not a very...
NORI UPDATE
I took Trivan’s recommandation to try H-Mart in Edison. The first thing I must state is that it is a very nice store…..big….and clean…and they speak English, unlike the East Brunswick store. I believe it is a Korean store, but they carry other nationality foods (although I...
Trivan, thanks for the heads up.
It is Korean. I too can't read any Japanese, Chinese or Korean, and in fact have no idea what the differences are in their symbols. However, I can read the English in the lower left corner of the label that states Rhee Bros. Importers, manufactured by...

Unfortunately the specific gravity doesn't tell you anything in regards to what is there. In addition, that phosphate number is through the roof.
I would write off that unmentioned LFS and fully agree with Mark.....buy a RO/DI unit.
