I've learned something new today.
Back in the day (the 60's) when I had a class in small engine repair, we were told to only use non-detergent.....no filter for the "dirt" to get cleaned out of the oil. Well that has obviously changed. Bottom line, read your manual and use what is...
Yep, I'm talking about the engines as well.....check you instruction book for the type of oil....and follow it. Typically engines that do not have oil filters have to use non-detergent oils.
'
Hold up Jim, I believe generators and things like compressors need to run with non-detergent oils. So make sure you read the instructions for your genarator.
He has a manifold.....just take one of the manifold lines, put a short hose on it, and run it back into the sump. Adjust the valve to reduce the flow to the DT.
Unbelievable! I love the DIY stuff and this metalwork is fantastic. Forget about the tank, I'm looking forward to the stand and metalwork being finished up.
Great job.
I thought you were setting up a Herbie?
Anyway, the siphon action going on with right side is likely from the little hole in the top being clogged of the height of the durso not set right. Check the hole, and if that is not it, raise or lower the durso to adjust the siphon action.
EDIT TO...
Hopefully someone who has first-hand experience can comment, but running two one inch drains into a tee that remains 1 inch doesn't sound kosher. Will these durso style overflows still work properly?
EDIT TO ADD: Upon a second look at the picture, I'm not sure I'd tee off the one return...
It doesn't happen overnight.....I think I'm still seeing changes. I probably could have sped up the process by removing cheato and hair algae, but I didn't . The cheato melted away pretty fast, and then maybe three months later the hair algae was pretty much gone. Where I really noticed...
I'm going to preface my response by first stating my opinion about tools and equipment. I buy the quality of the tool to the expected use. So when I know I'll use it frequently, or for a long time, I'll pay the extra to buy quality. When I know I'll use it rarely, if not just once, I'll...
I'm a biopellet user as well.....JNS Alpha 2 with BRS pellets....started June 2013.....and I'm happy.
If you haven't purchased a reactor, and are interested in a JNS, check out MatteZ's sale, if he still has it.....it's a deal!
If you get this reactor, I still have more of the cover...
I'm going to sound like a broken record.......I was wondering what had happened to you. Welcome back Brandon!
We'll talk again in another six months.:grin:
Somehow "Consumer Input" malware found its way onto my computer. It gets me that these spyware programs can self-load without your permission. Anyway, I looked up how to remove this, and it was a nightmare of manually deleting files and registery items. I wasn't ready to do this.
So I...
If they are "controllable," I'll have to let those folks who have done it with controls to answer that one.
I have non-controllable LEDs.......and I also need to tell you I'm overly anal....so I build a Rube Goldberg where I started the lights all the way up at the ceiling. Every week I'd...
