Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
First off, sorry for the lose(s).
Between the two, I'd put my money on the clawed wonder. I'd also not rule out a rogue crab. In past posts with dissapearing fish, they would eventually find that they had a hitchhiker crab that was doing the dissapearing thing. Check the tank at night...
So what is not true? You mentioned running a straight edge on the plywood, so I'm assuming that is true. So is it the tank or the homostat? If the top plywood is true, I wouldn't be shimming it.
You are still stuck with running the frag tank fallow for 8 weeks.
So why not just leave everything where it is and just pull the fish and treat them. That's the easiest.
LOL The Raffle King Family (aka Adsimone Family) had a club meeting / food assembly line at their house this past summer. Hopefully the Raffle King family will respond with the recipe.
A couple years ago a "group buy" was done where a number of club members got together to make Eric...
I have the dual BRS reactor, but run it off an MJ1200. I have the valve set at about halfway. I see no reason why you couldn't run this off a manifold. You just need to decide if you will control flow with the manifold valve or the in-line valve that comes with the reactor.
What an unusual carbon source. Methanol's metabolic pathway is
Methanol --> Formaldehyde --> formate --> carbon dioxide
What I find odd is that it is the rate at which the above metabolism occurs that makes methanol poisonous. Typically you have a build up of either formaldehyde...
I too am a BRS 1.1 ml doser user. They normally sell for $79 a piece, but had a sale this past year for $50 each. If you can't wait, see if you can jump into a "Group Buy" from any of a number of fish forum sites.
You could always also visit Kane Brewing Co right around the corner, and make a day of it. If you like beer, it's a nice couple of hours of just sipping on samples. Unfortunately you can't bring in food.
Digging a hole......a BIG hole.
And if I'm right I think I win the old piece-o-crap 300 and something tank in Sunny's front room.....and Sunny will deliver.
Have you tried feeding them THIS food? At a mere ten dollars a pound, I'd be willing to see if they would eat this stuff. Can't hurt.:grin::grin::grin::grin:
