I’ve looked at my three hitchhiker sites and can’t find this little creature. I’ve only found them on the sides or bottoms of frag plugs that have been in the sand. Most are about 1/8 inch long…found one about 3/16 inches.
Here are two of the little buggers on the side of a frag plug.
Nice clean look Dan.
When I was acclimating my corals and simply had the lights hanging without a cover, the light fall off in front of the tank was blinding. Do you have a similar problem.....or do the lens direct most light down?

This came with the JBJ 28 and I'm not using it. My understanding is that this works very well if you use a high volume air pump. You are not going to do anything with a 10 dollar Walmart special pump.....need a big boy. Pick-up in Sayreville.
Kevin, with me, this is a valid question. I've had my Homer "Duh" moments.
The source of resin is separated and recharged. It is the same source I've been using for some time. Each time I've had to change my mixed bed, I've gone and tried the separate bed (using the same resin). When...
Yes, it's the slim coat that is protecting these fish over the others. It is my understanding that stress impacts slim coat....some fish more then others.
When I was typing the OP, I came to the part about the IN and OUT of the two canisters and thought, “What the hoot, let me flip them back around and see what that does.” I wasn’t overly optimistic, but maybe these RO folks know something I don’t know. By the way, the IN side allows water to...
I'm a chemist and have used exchange resins multiple times...and have a patent on use of one for radioactive stuff. So I think I know how they work. They are simple "exchange" resins. The bad stuff is attracted to the respective resin and, in the process either kicks out a hydrogen or...
Good point. The first two times I attempted this, I did not take note of the order of the two canisters. In discussing this at a meeting where David (Malulu) was there (he has a Kati/Ani unit....a bigger version of what I'm trying to do), he stated the it was called "Kati/Ani, so Kati...
This has me absolutely and totally perplexed!!!
I regenerate my DI resin….been doing it for some time. This is not the issue.
The biggest PIA is first separating the two resins to clean them up.
So I was fortunate to come upon an old RO setup with two canisters.
I figured...
Agree with Jim....the cord is rated for the 30 amps...and that is what your generator is putting out. I run my 30 amp plug with an adaptor and a 10 gauge, 100 foot extension cord....no problems.
