Chalices and LEDs can be a little tough sometimes. I have heard this a few times with led users. I would suggest getting them out of direct light for the time being until the my start to recover. Then slowly move them into a low light spot in the tank. What kind of flow are they getting?
Whenever I dose anything I put it either into the overflow box or into the sump. I think the additive you are talking about is bacteria so I wouldn't be concerned about putting it directly into the tank. If you dose 2 part I would make sure it goes either in the sump or over flow. Let us...
I wouldn't be worried about a frozen shrimp. Many of the commercially made frozen food we use in our tanks contain preservatives. 1 should be plenty for your tank. I would leave the filter on. Has the tank cleared up for you?
