    Kschweers rebuild. 57g rimless

Got a little more work done today. I took the stand to a friends shop and built some panel doors with his help. I think these will look better than just flat doors like I was planning. Glue is drying now, hopefully I will get the hinges on and hang the doors in the next few days. Also...

Thank you Paul I am pretty happy with how it's coming along. I knew the overflow was going to come up sooner or later....lol. It's still a thought in the back of my head, I'm just not sure how easily that overflow will come out

I made the stand 36". I'm happy that I did I really like that I don't have to bend down as much to view the tank.

    Kschweers rebuild. 57g rimless

Today I got the overflow all cleaned up. My plan for tomorrow is to paint the back glass black and I am also thinking about painting the bottom trim. I plan to paint the stand and light rails flat black so I was thinking it would look good if the bottom trim was also flat black. My plan is to...

Thanks guys. I was figuring I would need a step stool either way, I'm pretty short. And I will be viewing the tank while standing the vast majority of the time.

I'm sitting down designing my stand now and thinking I want to make it a little taller than a "factory" stand. I'm thinking 36" for the height. Do you guys think that's too tall or not enough?

How many cans did it take you to coat the inside of your stand?

    Interesting new parameter test kiosks

This is what I heard as well. The $1 is for the reagents and other things for the test. This is why I'm curious to see how stores will implement this. Will they try to make money from it by charging a lot for the tests, will they break even by not charging as much and hoping it will attract...

I'm pretty sure it's the same stuff. The video from "neverwet" did a lot of the same things to demonstrate the product.

    Problems with Tapatalk

Any word from administrators on upgrading the "API"? Not even sure what that is, but I'm having issues uploading images from tapatalk and every time I sign on it says API needs to be upgraded.

Yea I'm thinking the same way now, especially after reading more than enough unfavorable review. Just thought the spray would be a little easier. The video they produced was pretty cool though...lol

Anyone ever use this stuff? http://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/neverwet/neverwet-kit/ Thinking about maybe coating the inside of the stand with it. Just have to look into how much it will take to coat the inside of the stand. What do you guys think?

    Interesting new parameter test kiosks

Not at all. The tests will cost the store around a dollar a piece from my understanding. This is on top of paying a lease for the machine. I think it's an awesome idea and can't wait to see how stores implement them.

    Interesting new parameter test kiosks

I think the $1 a test is speculation. I know that these machines are very expensive and it would take a whole lot of tests at $1 to even come close to breaking even

    Interesting new parameter test kiosks

From my understanding theses are "lab grade" tests. Not sure if there is a name brand attached to them. I saw them at macna and they were pretty cool. I'm very interested to see how stores will implement them.
