I'm sorry I had you confused with someone else asking about pumps. I apologize. What size tank will the pump be feeding? The reeflow pumps can use a lot of energy. I recently switch out a manta ray for another pump at my bosses house and the difference in the electric bill was surprising.
So I have been sick for a few days and haven't got much done. I primed and painted the doors. I put the second coat in them yesterday after work and when I got to the shop today a rag had fallen off the shelf next to where the doors were drying and ruined the one. After work today I sanded...
If I ends up being too much flow you can always use it to feed your reactors and/or T off the main line and plumb it back to the sump with a ball valve to divert some of the flow.
No problem Jonathan. If space is tight you can see if a "street" 90 will work instead of a regular 90 and a small piece of pipe. Won't save a ton of room but when space is tight every little bit helps
Shouldn't be an issue just make sure that you can get the union all the way undone. I usually try to keep the "threaded collar" on the pipe side instead of on the side with the valve or 90. Hopefully that makes sense. Not sure why I'm having a hard time explaining
I think I get it now...lol. If I remember correctly the bean animal set up runs one drain as a full siphon (main drain), one almost like a durso, and one as an emergency. If so you should have no problem moving 600-800 gph if not more. As far as a pump you have a lot of options. You could go...
If you have 3 1" bulkheads draining I would not suggest combining them to a 1.5" pipe. You would essentially be reducing your drain by half. If you have to combine them you want to combine then to at least a 3" pipe.
If you look around on a few other forums a bunch of people have used peroxide successfully against dinos. I have used it in the past with success for hair algae as well. A black out will temporarily help just to give you a bit of an upper hand on the situation. However it will not totally...
Wow awesome urchin! That black/scopas is a great fish. They are really neat when they get bigger, some have a grayish blue color to them. Congrats on the pick ups guys
Thanks zip!
Lol Jose I don't know why I couldn't make up my mind. Hopefully the stand will be done this weekend and I can move on to fun part. Plumbing and aquascaping!
Lol. So I really was overthinking it and snapped myself out of it. I went with my original plan of black. I primed everything and got a coat of paint on the stand. Tomorrow I will prime and paint the doors and get another coat or two on the stand.
Ok so I'm probably really overthinking this paint thing, but I want to make the right decision first. I'm decided on paint just not a color. I'm thinking of going with a dark grey color. What do you guys think?
