Its not just one bulkhead, there are two 1" bulkhead. What I would like to do is have the water come down into the skimmer box, the skimmed water will output into the other box and pass through the baffles and into the return section. I would like for only the skimmed water to go back into the...
This sump is actually two box's held together with 2x1" bulkheads. I can easily remove the bulkheads to detach the box where the skimmer sits in. It will be allot easier for me to put it in the stand when it's apart.
OK, I just tried Joe Juice on one of the aiptasia. It started pulsating and shrinking. I think it melted. The funny thing is that I tried it on another aiptasia and nothing is happening. The tentacles just shrunk and thats it. All of the Juice is just sitting on top of the aiptasia.
I purchased some live rocks from a reefer that is getting out of the hobby. Unfortunately all of the rocks that I purchased have Aiptasia. I did not know what they were at the time of purchase. The rocks also have allot of corals on them. Currently the rocks are in a container. I am afraid to...
mladencovic, that is VALUBLE information (at least for me it is). I will definitely rethink my plan and will add the wattage of my equipment to see how much stuff I can connect to that outlet. I still want a close loop cause I don't want any powerhead in the tank. So I still need a pump. Just...
I use the Magnum to clean the water of big things that float around in the water. Sometimes I run carbon in the it. I will be using a valve to control the flow through the Magnum. What I am trying to accomplish is to eliminate as many pumps/motors as possible. I only have one outlet where my...
I really don't want any powerheads in the tank. I do have a sump as well as a skimmer. I have a magnum 350 canister filter that I would like to remove the motor and just connect the input of the canister to the closed loop pump and have the output back into the tank (not the sump just in case...
I want/need flow in the tank. I will be teeing off of the return from the closed loop with a valve to the reactors and filter. Some what like a manifold. I am trying to prevent from having to many pumps.
Can someone please recommend a pump for a 72 gallon tank? The pump will be used as a closed loop, running two phosban reactors (carbon and phosguard) as well as an external filter. The pump will be located under the tank. I would like it to be quiet.
OK, I am new to this and my tank has been up and running for four months now with only live rocks. The algae phase has recently passed. All of the corals pictured aboved has been the first corals ever in the tank. That being said, I do not feed anything since I never had anything. Do the above...
As you can see I was very fortunate to win some of these at the meeting and also fortunate to meet some reefers that gave me the Caps and the Kenya trees.
I know that the caps I can put on the plugs horizontal or vertical, but I think that the rest is to big for the plugs. Does the Frog...
I wish I had known. I would had purchase some. But I need some today. Thanks JerseyWendy, I am heading to CVS within the hour. I will be posting more questions on the right way to glue the corals. Though it was well explained at the meeting, I will need someones help and opinion.
I was at the meeting and RichT used some type of liquid glue with Aquastik epoxy putty. Can someone please tell me what type of liquid he use? Can I use liquid crazy glue with the putty instead?
Thanks Eric and Michelle for opening your doors to us. I had a great time, that being my first meeting. It was kind of awkward at first, but as soon as I set foot on the front lawn, people started welcoming me. I also want to thank everyone for helping me and giving me frags to start out for my...
Herb, I will have to take you up on that offer soon.....I am planning on drilling my tank, just need to decide what pump to use for the closed loop. I will actually rent the equipment from you. One more thing.... Doesn't the bit go dull after two uses?
