First - really sorry about the losses...the subject line made me think you went to see a NASA rocket launch and it got canceled due to weather or something. Anyways - now that I've digested it...
this may be way out there as a guess - but have you ever checked the water to see if it is CO2...
I'd do it a little at a time...only because the sand bed right now is probably too shallow to have anaerobic bacteria - and hence most of it is going to be aerobic, oxygen needing bacteria. If you pour the entire 1.5 on top of them - you may literally suffocate that bacteria...which may result...
David - sorry for the loss...
I know it's of little consolation - but you had the chance (albeit brief) to witness something in your tank that very very few others have or will ever see. Your clowns could have been bought by someone else and kept in a 5 gallon nemo tank never to breed - but...
I just came home and spotted these headlines...is it true? Frankly if we could just keep our own blue-chip prospects (think kazmir) - we wouldn't have to fork $100 million to the guy....
of course I guess it doesn't hurt to have my employer (citigroup) paying $5 million a year just for naming...
You can get a really great bargain deal on used items - assuming the item is still in quality/working order. still - I have read more than enough of unscrupulous people selling items that were pictured well -but shipped poorly or not as pictured. Worse case was the one guy who didn't ship...
cool....before you know it you'll have a lot more than 15...and mine do not stay on the LR...they liked the sand (mind you mine is more like crushed coral) and also do nicely on chaeto - kinda neat how they suspend themselves on the chaeto.
Enjoy!
Nice.
Hey - please note that Calupera is a noted invasive species http://www.invasivespeciesinfo.gov/aquatics/caulerpa.shtml...so if you ever decide that macro isn't for you - do not flush it...let it dry out and then toss in the trash.
Reasons for why you would want to rid calupera...if/when...
oh - was going to mention other benefits if he starts a tale of the tank thread...i mean - he found out about this board in the parking lot of ANimal and THings...which is like what, not even a cup of gas away from AO...(although I guess that depends on your vehicle)
i would do it separately...not sure if the different dips together might do...
personally i have never had a feather duster (not one like those from hawaii) and I am not sure - but if flatworms could hitch on a coral, it stands to reason they could do so on the tube of a duster too.
Welcome Bill!
I really liked my tbs stuff but there were some hitchers I wish didn't tag along... ::) but I won't take up space on this post with that stuff. Perhaps you'll start a tale of the tank thread! (hint)
Oh and if I could just drop a plug here - definitely consider joining as a...
a buddy of mine did a blog review of this one...he and his wife liked it. This was last year mind you - so this model may no longer be around...
product review: hp c7180 photosmart wireless printer
so you have the wireless laptop, wireless networking, you even have the wireless mouse, but yet...
nice! at this point - just watch your alk/calcium parameters...with those in control -you should see your coralline algae populate relatively quickly. Looks good!
