I do not have appropriate lighting over my QT so I don't keep corals in there...with corals I do a double dip of Flatworm Exit and lugols.
With fish I QT.
Unlike the freshwater hobby - I haven't seen/read too many people who have had success saving a SW critter that is succumbing to...
are you using fresh water to just wash the floss pad - or are you washing all the media?
definitely don't wash those tubular-kinda pieces...that's the media eheim uses so the ammonia/nitrite eating bacteria can colonize on...
Personally I think the cannister filter works but it is a bit of a...
oh I don't think they are ugly - (my wife does tho!)
Hmm - I'm confused by your reply tho- aren't polychaete worm's referred to as bristle worms also? Anyways - here's a smallish one that I grabbed out because it was Ugly with a capital U. ;) It didn't help that I caught it out in the open...
the product says:
Q: How large of a pump can I plug into the A.T.O.?
A: The A.T.O. receptacle will handle pumps up to 2amp capacity.

what kind of sand CUC do you have?
if u don't have anything - may want to look up investing in some nassarius vibex snails or cerith snails...and depending on the size of the tank (and if are okay with looking at a not-so-pretty invert) -a cuke.

Most people think they are harmless - one website thinks that they eat SPS coral.
I don't have SPS in my 55 so can't comment. Though it would be great if they multiply enough to pick up a harlequin.. ::)
Anyone ever order from Abes of Maine? I'd like to get a new digital camera/tripod to take better pics of the tank.
They just opened a new warehouse/retail store in Central NJ...
