What is a good Wrasse to keep that is Shrimp-safe

Mines about 4" I guess it could still get a bit bigger. Edwin, for what it's worth my 6-line also an adult doesn't mess with any of my shrimp either.

    A/C took a dump

You know I was thinking of that. With the $1 per gal sale at Petco I could get a 40 breeder that might just do the trick. I got the A/C guy coming tomorrow so I should have a good idea if how long I may need to wait.

    A/C took a dump

I gave the window unit some though but then remembered that my windows in that room are the ones that open outward. Window unit won't work. So far the ceiling fan on high has done well with keeping the temps inline. My real concern lies in if we end up hitting 90 anytime soon. If that happened...

What is a good Wrasse to keep that is Shrimp-safe

My melunarus doesn't bother my cleaners or fire shrimp and the shrimp were added after the wrasse. Wrasse is also full grown. Don't put too much stock in the wrasse eating critters off the SPS. Probably not gonna happen.

    Edwin's Dream 180 (6x2x2) planned build...

I would get at least 3 cans. It took almost 2 to cover my 90 completely.

    A/C took a dump

So to add to my problems, Tuesday afternoon my central air decided to die. Luckily it's been a bit cooler lately but I'm still concerned about heat. Yesterday I went the day without lights. Today I only went with the blues for about half of the total. Luckily I run my tank a little higher temp...

Permission to upgrade but just thoughts for now

And just for the heck of it, I'll throw another tank out there for you to consider. MarineLand 200 Deep Dimension. That would meet your 4' criteria, and give you more then enough space to scape anyway you want and still have plenty of room for a good chunk of the fish population. Even with the...

July Meeting - Elos AquaStudio New York! - July 27th

Thank Darren for setting the meeting up. Unfortunately I couldn't hang long today. Thanks for the invert buy as well. Oh and the alternative reef Delhi is awesome. Definitely gonna work more of that into my next build.

Nice but on that mystery. I've been looking for one. Must have missed it.

    Tank controller

Out of the box it can handle temp and has 4 outlets. Best bet would be to go to the Neptune Apex site. They have a tool that compares the 3 lvls of controllers.

    Clown Aquatics?

Matt, they were just placing orders with sustainable aquatics, ORA, and one other place that I can't remember. I'm sure any of our LFS sponsers could place the same order. Heck even Petco gets some of their clowns from those places

    Tank controller

Personally I went with the Apex Jr and I love it. It was a bit of a pain to set up but that was all me. Once I got a bit of help and also found out about the Apex forum and Reef Tronics all went very smooth. Only thing I would have changed is that I would have gotten a higher version of the...

    Acro STN help thread

I've had quite similar results. Has yours been confined to acros as well, or all SPS? What salt are you using. I'm going with RC over here. I've also considered the salt as an issue but everything appears solid with the lvls. Just in case I'm gonna start a new bucket that was purchased at a...

    Acro STN help thread

Good news/Bad news Good: About a week ago I had a friend frag both the green slimer and pearlberry. A week later and the cuts are healing over and both look pretty good. Bad: Three other colonies are showing signs of STN now. My ATL Limeade, Cali Tort, and ORA Joe The Coral are all...

Central Jersey. I have Arrived. - Now I gots Questions

Welcome to the land of below average LFS's AKA South Jersey. Allquatics is probably the closest. I live about 5 min from there and try to go as little as possible. They do get a good variety of fish from time to time but the corals are usually blah and the dry goods are a bit on the expensive...
