Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.

Will answer pretty much any question you have. Marc does awesome work with acrylic. There are lots of "models" on the left side of different designs he's made.
Looking at the new pics on my phone so although they are better I still can't tell for sure.
If it is a sponge "usually" they are good to have. Some are harmful but without a conclusive id we won't be sure. Most often they are good to have.
Could also be coralline algae which is also a...
JB Water Weld. You can find it at HD or Lowes. Much cheaper than the "reef epoxy" you will find made specifically for aquariums. It's virtually the same product. Sometimes it helps the bonding process if you add a dab of super glue gel (what you use for attaching your corals) between the epoxy...
Joe, my records indicate that your current membership expires on 1/30/2013. However, the previous BOD member who was taking care of the record keeping used the "last day of the month you paid" as the expiration date. The actual recurring membership payments setup thru paypal will likely happen...
Biscuit cutter? Glad I could inspire you to try other options... but now that puzzle is going to be nagging me until I find out what you're up to Paul! Now I know what your wife feels like when she doesn't know about something until after it's done, haha.
Before you decide on this secret method...
Paul... I'm speechless. (Well, not really, I have plenty to say) :p
Great job on the bend. It came out awesome and the braces fit perfectly.
I like Option D for the side doors since sliding straight up would be great if you have it close to a wall or something at some point. No swing radius...
Great post Sunny! What I have learned over the last year (in fact over the several years I've been in the hobby) is pretty much exactly what you said. Every tank is different and most advice should really be a "suggestion" moreso than a definitive answer. There are a few things that will...
Website is definitely in the planning stages. Looks like they have big aspirations though based on their description of themselves.
How did the store look when you saw it?
Looking good Paul! I like that you put some plastic under the glued corners so any seepage glue doesn't make it stick to the table. ;)
As for your previous responses:
1. Yea, I figured that's why you went that tall... I'm just worried about how it will look when it's done. I've seen some...
OK, I'll just see how it goes and then decide if I like it when it's done, lol. I don't mean to discourage you Paul, but in order to help you do it right the first time... here are a couple concerns I'm seeing right off the bat:
1. Height of the canopy. These tanks are all around 18" or so...
Following along here Paul. I have a 24g Nano Cube Deluxe (which Tony and Terri are borrowing) and a 14g BioCube (Oceanic) that could both use one of these.
The hood on the 24g has working lights but non-working fans but even still, the lights are only PC's... so I was thinking about getting...
FYI, here's more info on the calendars we will be giving out (scroll to bottom of page):

Just finished watching that video that Kevin linked. I never realized how many sharks were actually being killed for the fins alone and apparently the soup is more of a "tradition" than something that is really tasty.
This is just sickening and needs to stop!
Not sure what is going on with the RSVP. I thought I fixed it before but it does say it's closed (but still showed those who already signed up.) Then I checked calendar and went back to the RSVP page and it only listed Taz... so maybe he's fixing it right now?
I'll leave it be for now and...
No prob Judeo. Glad it will help.
As for epoxy, you can pick up the epoxy "sticks" made specifically for aquariums at most LFS or online at the major retailers. But, I prefer to just stop at HD or Lowes and pick up JB Water Weld. It's the same thing and cheaper, although the aquarium specific...
