Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
We just picked up a beautiful gogonian from trop (The sale was still going on). We have it in the middle of the tank under a 250w MH and have two koralia 2s on either side of it to provide flow. So far so good as the polyps have full extension. We noticed though that the tip have no polyps and...
For the powder is it 1/2 teaspoon for 20g mixed in 8 ounces of fresh water. We did 3/4 of a teaspoon in 12 ounces for the the 30 g and you dose when the light are off. We are starting with every other day dosing, and you go from there depending on your levels. I will keep you updated.
If you read the description it keep both your PH and alk levels up so it is kind of an all in one product. We were looking for ways to simplify the process and this fit the bill.
We just picked up a Brightwell product:

We got the powdered form though. Came highly recommended...
I use Rods Reef which is a blend of just about everything.

My shrimp like the bigger meatier pieces.
Also, PE mysis is a very popular brand of food that we also add.
You need a special breeding tank to raise shrimp, ours have been pregnant constantly for like 9 months and they just release the eggs (which the fish love).
I always feel like I am doing something wrong when I feed my shrimp mysis shrimp but they really do like it. I don't think lettuce would do anything for them, mine like to pull out the "chunks" in the Rods food.
I love my Pheonix 14k bulb. If you search through "equipment conversations" I put up comparison pictures of a 14k bulb and a 10k bulb. The blue is really crisp.
Not that I am an expert on T5 bulbs, but we did just order new bulbs for our 4 bulb setup through the premium aquatic group buy. After doing some research we decided to go with giesmann bulbs, we ordered two actinic plus bulbs for the color and two midday bulbs for growth. We also bought a fiji...
You may want to look at the popular choice of clownfish, also is the tank covered? There are some neat fish you can get into a 20g but they can be jumpers. The yellow assesor is know to be pretty peacful but expensive, the basslets and pseudos can get pushy. The other thing to consider is where...
I am really sorry to hear that, Trop had a small female (2 inches or smaller) if you are looking for a replacement. We added an anem to our tank and had an angel become its first snack as well, so we know the feeling.
It is always tough when fish die, because they are not as predictable as corals and water chemistry. The categories that will affect fish the most are ammonia, nitrate, and nitrites. Your levels are good so not too much worry there, you could have had a parasite or fish disease. Granted, that...
Yes, we bought one that was mislabeled as a conch, the little bugger will go through your snails like candy. They have a very similar shell to a conch but move live a large nassarius snail. Nasty little buggers.
Saw these on another website, I think you have a nice piece there.

Scroll to the bottom, I believe they are the kaleidoscope cloves.
