I know its gonna be a hike for you but have you tried Tropiquarium or Hidden Reef. Both of them have pretty resonable prices for tanks/stands. I just cant believe how much that is. You could build one for less then half that.
Thanks Jim. That makes it much better for me. To be honest I'm the keep it simple kind. I think I'll just rely on individual pumps for this. Setup where I can. A sicce 3.5 is just right to run the 90 at capacity and I'll just get the MJ 1200 for the BRS dual. Im not sure if ill have the room for...
To be honest I'm leaning towards multiple pumps just to avoid the headaches. But if I can avoid the extra heat from the pumps that would have been great.
Thanks. I did try that out. I guess I just don't understand all of this. I want to be able to run the 90 and at the very minimum a dual reactor. With one pump. I would also like the option to run a frag tank with the same.
I was considering buying a sicce syncra 5.0 that someone here has for...
Im currently on the search for a pump for my build. How is head loss calculated. Im considering buying 1 pump and supplying the 90gal, Reactors, and possibly my nano as a frag tank.
Are all the vertical's considered in head loss.
Example: The 90 gal will have approximatly 4 3/4' head...
Are these snails normal reproduces in our tanks. I was just looking the other day and saw a few tiny ones. Today I saw what I would estimate as close to 100 baby ceriths. I currently have both dwarfs and regular ceriths. These babies are small. Most no bigger then a pin head. Oddly enought I...
Meg, for what it's worth, I live about 15 mins away from both hidden reef and fish factory, and allquatics is only up the street. I usually drive an hour+ to go to AO or OG2 if I'm looking for livestock. Or stop by NJ Reef Farm also 5 min away. Good luck.
Same mix. The lights in the nano are 6 months in the other tank they are about 8 months.
And my param's in the 44 are very similar to that of the nano. Except that phos are .06 and nitrates are about 10-20 depending how you read the color.
Ok, I'm having an issue with a couple of monti's in my nano. A rainbow and sunset.
As you can see they are not doing to well. The rainbow is 13" below the lights and the sunset is 11". The lights are 4x24" T5. The sunset looked good for the first couple of weeks or so. Encrusted nicely then...
That about sums it up. IMO there is no better place for dry goods and no cheaper place for salt. For salt their regular prices were better or the same as our group but prices. Fish is good if you get there on the right day. But scarce otherwise. If your looking for coral look somewhere else...
Both are just under the halfway point in the 20h. Lights are about 5-6" off the water. I'll start a new thread With pics tonight to see of we can find the problem.
Well treatments are done. Everything but my hermits have been succesfully added back to the display. My fire and sexy shrimp are fine. My pom pom and emerald both appear to be fine also. My hermits on the other hand dont seem to be doing well. All four of them are alive but kind of just sitting...
