Greg that pic of the car was hilarious!
All kidding aside though... I hope everyone and there tanks make it through this without any serious damage.
Good luck gang!
I bought 2 battery powered fans at Walmart a while ago for camping. If the power goes out I'll have to decide whether I want to sleep or keep my tank oxygenated.
I picked up one from aquarium center today for my single mp40. I hope I never need it but I'm glad I have it.
I'm making extra rodi water and extra saltwater just in case. May even put some saltwater in the freezer in case the tank temp gets too high. I figured a small water change with...
The worst part about the power going out is we won't be able to come online and ask each other for help. Keep your phones handy folks (assuming the phones will even work.)
Can you just put a foam cover or maybe some kind of netting over the PH's to keep the fish out? If you can, then I'd say leave everything plugged in and hope for the best.
Sorry to hear that Bad Fish. :(
Oh, and I called about the one I linked on Ebay. They don't have them in Lakewood, so don't bother calling.
I had to settle for buying a battery backup for my MP40, which should give me up to 36 hours of powerhead use at least. Couldn't find any generators...
Yea, if you just got one, you have to decide whether to leave it in the box so you can return it easily, or open it up now to test and make sure it works right.
I'm with you though trivan... hoping we won't need it cause I can't find any locally either. Considering calling the one on...
Hopefully this doesn't come true, but I'm sure there will be plenty of damage caused by Irene.
Maybe we should wait til after the storm to set a date? I'm like the rest here though. Set a date and we'll try our best to attend. It's actually more fun than it sounds!
Wow, too bad I was actually right about this one. Sorry Scuba spy.
Steve, by the way, can you let Randy know that Tony did move his boat back home before they went on the dive trip? It wasn't stolen from the lot, lol. :D
Check out this one on Ebay... Says there are 5 left and they are in Lakewood, NJ. Maybe you can pick it up today!

I'm sure you can find someone to sell you a policy even now. However, since the storm is already active and has been reported to head this way... there's a pretty good chance you won't be covered for this incident.
I'm no lawyer nor an insurance salesman, but that's probably how it will go...
I agree with Thermosts. You would be much better off in the long run if you add an overflow before setting it all up. Not only will that elimate a lot of equipment in the display tank, but it will also give you more water volume to your system.
One of the drawbacks of a nano is the small water...
