Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
First off, sorry I missed the last post about the chaeto. After the new bulb, it appears to be a bit healthier looking. Has it gotten any better (or worse) since that post? Just remember that it thrives on nutrients in the water as well as light, so if it's dying off on you it could be because...
Well, my curiosity got the best of me. Here's another article about this that has a pic of the machine...

Also, I was wondering.... are they just feeding the fish weekly when the maintenance company comes in? I hope they're at least...
You would think they could at least include a picture of said vending machine in the article, no?
It is kind of strange to sell tuna sandwiches while showing cute lil fish in a reef tank... I would think the visual would make them NOT want tuna. ???
Nice step-by-step Shluzer. That should do the trick, however, it's worth noting that this method will wipe the hard drive clean. Anything he downloaded/saved/installed/etc. with Windows 7 will be lost.
I'd suggest making a backup (copy to DVD will work) of any pictures/documents/etc. that are...
Good luck with it you two. I'm looking forward to seeing pics, but understand all the other stuff that needs to be taken care of when moving into a new home. If you could throw up one or two quickies to at least let us see the rockscape... I'm sure that will tide us over until you post up the...
Ahh, sorry about the Torch. :'(
Breaking down now and putting the remaining corals in the 90 is probably your best option to save them.
Smaller, more frequent water changes for the pico in the future also sounds like a good idea.
This is what you would call experience... learning things the...
This is the reason I build my own PC's. These name-brand PC's always put restrictions on what you can do with them as well as adding a bunch of unwanted pre-loaded software that slows it down.
The fact that they use inferior hardware is also a reason I choose to build my own. And don't get me...
I think Mike (Bodell) had a pretty good idea. Do a 5g water change on your tank at home, but bring the "old" water to work and use it for the pico. Just take out the fish and put them in your bucket from home, then empty out the pico and replace it all. Should be pretty easy.
I also agree with...
Ahh, that's pretty far away so I won't be able to take advantage of those deals unless I happen to be in the neighborhood, lol.
Sid, let me know if you are interested in splitting or sharing some of those Zoas. I'm looking for some pink or purple colored ones if you get any.
Hmm, I've shyed away from breeding blackworms because I don't have a chiller. The only spot I could do it is in the garage which isn't temperature controlled... so this is an idea that might allow me to have a black worm tank. I have a 4' square of 1/4" plexiglass that's been waiting for a...
