Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Orca makes wetsuits for tri-athletes…so yes, very thin and tight fitting…but still, its rubber filled with micro bubbles which causes for additional buoyancy
As far as the free dive, he is still breathing “regular” 20/80 air, with the larger number being nitrogen. Regardless of whether you are...
I was thinking about a float valve, but can you shut off the wastewater line without affecting the membrane? Would the “clean” water stop flowing as well? Not sure if the Auto Shut Off Valve works the same on the wastewater side??? Anyone know?
If this could be done, I'd still do it along with...
NEWS FLASH: Scientists discover a rare new species of clove polyps where the polluted South River meets the polluted Raritan River. The combination of pollutants caused these polyps to mutate, forming a new species. Since the locale of this find was in the equally and overly polluted town of...
I’m such an idiot!
It happened again, for the third time!
Since putting in my RO/DI water recovery drum about a month and a half ago, I’ve flooded the basement three times by not noting the water level in the 55 gallon drum. I’d start making water and next thing I’d know is that the basement...
Wow! Too many things amazing about this one.
How does this guy free-dive with a wetsuit and no weight belt? I would float like a cork in my wetsuit. I couldn’t stay under water if I wanted to without a weight belt.
I no longer have my dive tables (yea, yea, I’m old), but 331 feet, even...
If you dive with frequency, your Eustachian tubes stay clear and you therefore do not need to pinch your nose to equalize pressure. When I was diving weekly, I rarely needed to pinch the nose.
I think what is amazing is how negatively buoyant this guy is, unless that gun he is carrying weighs a...
Still have plenty left. The only thing I ask is that you bring bags or Tupperware type contains to put the polyps in. I’m all out. Let me know when you want to come….my schedule is pretty open (I don’t work), until the soccer season begins at the end of the month. Then I’m out almost every day...
Yea, Yea, Yea…..you “conies” are here tooting your horn until the next new technology comes out. There’s nothing like a beckett sucking all that air from a pump eating over 300 watts…..now that’s power….Arr, Arr, Arr. Also, not to mention that that blue plexi doesn’t match my color motif in my...
I’m bummed. Walked into the fish room and you could smell that telltale odor that someone decided to go carpet surfing. Sure enough, the female blue throat trigger made that leap. Of course, I’m the stupid fool who left the canopy off the tank. Now papa blue throat is all-alone! :'(
I hate...
You need a new auto shut-off valve. With some of these, you have to match the membrane rate to the valve. My guess, with TB Aquatics group buy going on, is that you could order it from them (along with a couple new filters, like steamman suggests).
Congratulation Olivier and the Mrs. Olivier on your new little addition, Lucas.
Enjoy, because you blink your eyes and they are going off to college.
AND, as far as Brandon being the father…..I can see it now in about 20 or so years….Brandon wearing a black helmet and black cape, breathing...
Steve, the stuff you squirt on the aptasia will dissipate quickly. If a fish starts to swim into the area, it will “detect” the bolus of base and quickly swim away. No different from you using any of the other commercial aptasia killers.
In regard to impact on your tank, unless you are treating...
I will tell you that with my 660, the plug unit was the problem. Lights weren’t working, so I put a “contact enhancer” (we call it red juice…it improves contact on metal connectors) and the lights worked. To really make sure I maintained good contact in the plug portion, I used an ice pick to...
Dave, just be aware that the RBTA will pick the place in your tank it wants to hang out. That might mean that it “walks” around stinging everything in its path. So pick a nice spot…..medium to low flow…lots of light….nice hole to plant its foot.
Congratulations guys! And to top it off, you’re holding a meeting within the first month of moving in. If I had done something similar when I moved, you’d be sitting on boxes.
Now with my baseball analogy to life, you guys are up to two strikes now. So be careful! ;D
LOL! Yea, Sid really loves celebrating the fourth of July.....brings back memories of when England “lost” the colonies.....in retrospect, with the economy the way it is, maybe that’s a good thing. ;D
Do your self a favor and leave the fireworks and load up on what sounds like fantastic deals...
