    Waterproof Magnets

Epoxy cement or that liquid rubber you can get in HD or Lowes that is marketed for tool grips.

    Drill AGA 120 Gallon

I agree with Nickjr….glass-holes.com….and you need that hyphen. I know I’ve sounded like a salesman for this company, but I’m impressed by the small size, relatively quiet, cost, customer support and the little surprise you receive in the box. We purchased the 1500gph for a 90 gallon tank...

    Sump Question

To first answer your question in this last post, I believe a ¾ inch pipe off the overflow delivers 700 gph. Now I agree with Magic that the skimmer section seems thin. Get rid of that one piece of acrylic (or glass) on the far left. Just have the filter sock in the corner with the skimmer in...

    T5 bulbs

If you are attending MACNA on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, I'd try any of a number of vendors that will be there. I'm sure you will find a deal.

2g Jugs for mixing Calc, Mag, Alk

I don't know if this is what you are looling for, but Home Depot sells 2 gallon plastic paint buckets. Would they work?

Starting to think about an upgrade

180 is the ideal tank. Anything over that results in divorce :o, not to mention that you can't reach the bottom of the tank.

    starting a Inet Business

Here’s what I did…and by the way, I needed limited capital since I was just consulting, so I didn’t need loans/investors to buy facilities/equipment/inventory. 1. File for your business name with the county – I think $50 2. File to start a Limited Liability Company (LLC) – If I remember, it...

    tank Drilling?

This isn’t a “how to” thread, but here’s the thread of us drilling two holes in half inch glass. The trick is to go slow, no pressure on the drill…use water to keep it cool. You could also go to www.glass-holes.com and check out their videos. The holes we drilled were for a glass holes overflow...

    small electrical shocks??????????

Do a search on this site for grounding probes.  There are mixed feeling about them.  I personally don’t care for them.  It sounds like you definitely have a voltage leak on something and a probe will only mask that problem….and protect you, not your fish/corals.  Try to isolate whatever might...

Hot Water Heater Leaking At Top

16 years isn't bad for a gas hot water heater. Not worth fixing...although I have no idea what you are talking about concerning a blower and top casing. A conventional 40 gallon gas hot water heater has a three inch (sometimes 4") vent pipe coming out the top and a cold water inlet and hot water...

    Live rock question

I speak with an expertise in ignorance, so take this with a grain of salt. I would not bleach the rock. Bleach leaves too many byproducts and residual for me....especially in porous rock. You might want to just wash it off, power wash it, boil it, if you wish, or take the PaulB approach and...

    Baffles for sump

Silocone sticks better to glass than to plastic (acrylic, polywhatever). But saying that, the acrylic silcone work I;ve done have not been a problem. One word of caution, cut the acrylic a little undersized....it swells. Cost wise, glass is cleaper. If you go with plastic, 1/8 inch is a bit...

    Protein Skimmer not working?

Have you cleaned the "venturi" parts. If you are not getting an increase in velocity in the venturi part of the skimmer, you will not get a good draw of air into the unit.
