I was too cheap to order the frag racks with the letters and numbers. So I glued some letter and numbers from Etsy to frag plugs and then put it on the frag rack.
I think it looks good.
From my Expirience API ph test is not very accurate.
I found ph probes to be more accurate then test kits.
I use apex ph probe and that works good. I also have
a seneye that also test ph and that seams to be more accurate. I believe PH is very important if I didn’t have a controller I would...
I don’t want to get political.
But before all this pandemic. I had the pleasure
Of traveling to Shanghai. People on the train/mall
Wore mask. There was no mandate no pandemic.
If someone woke up with a cold they wore a mask for the benefit of everyone else. They did it so they wouldnt get...
That sump looks amazing. I would tell you to add a ventilation for the room. You can do that for cheap right now. That will save your butt. The basement is the best place for a fish room.
This is the air exchange I got from amazon

When I tore down my last tank and I moved.
I found a bunch or invertebrates/ corals that I thought was dead and they lived inside the rocks.
I found peppermints I hadn’t see for a long time.
I also found a green carpet anemone I thought was dead.
But it lived and was getting light inside a...
I have no proof but on the side of my display with my huge anenome I have not one aiptasia in that rock or surrounding.
I have zero aiptasia in the anemones tank
That’s how I started. I took a 125 gallon tank I had with African cichlids I sold all the fish and started a salt water tank.
Good luck with the build and I am following
Yeah as we all know shrimp are delicious. Lol
They are also the bottom of the food chain so
For their safety they only come out at night.
When I feed some times they will stick their heads out.
I didn’t include file fish in these tanks. I had one before in my last setup in a frag tank and he started to eat corals so
I replaced him with a copper band. I think a file fish in a anemone tank would be great. I would think that aiptasia would have a really hard time surviving with multiple...
Nope super easy they eat everything. They are also not aggressive towards other fish. This is my 1st time with one
Of these fish and I have him in a frag tank so it’s really easy to remove if he goes after corals.
In a reef tank it would be impossible to remove this fish if he goes rogue
I have 4 tanks with 4 different aiptasia removal
Fish/inverts.
The 1st tank is the anemone tank this tank only has peppermint shrimps (2) in a 50 gallon frag tank.
No aiptasia. Each peppermint shrimp cost $10 so for $20 I have no aiptasia in this tank.
Tank 2 mix corals low boy frag tank...
The tank looks great. I was up in Salgado aquariums and he has a few tanks that are powered by those lights.
The corals are doing great. From all the black boxes
I believe those perform the best.
This is a post from Manhattan reef this guy is selling
A huge frag tank for $250
That’s a great deal.
