Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
from what I read you should only dose one bacteria. So if you are doing dr Tim’s you shouldn’t dose any other bacteria because they will compete with each other.
Most of the world use this type of ac/ heater
They are called “ductless” Or mini splits
They are very efficient and allow you to have ac in areas that normally you wouldn’t.
I feed pellets 3 x a day from my AFS In the Lowest setting.
I feed nori sheet 1 once a day
I feed frozen LRS / rods food / San Francisco
Bay frozen the multi- pack / P E mysis
I feed reef roids broad cast feed corals 1 or 2 a week.
I feed the anemones little pieces of clams.
I use ocean...
Moving does suck. Tearing down and starting over is sometimes the better choice.
With so much going on trying to keep corals alive while you move is too much.
good luck
Most people running radions run the AB+
Program that’s 80% blues and 20 % whites.

I have a AP700 in the middle of the 210
But I am also looking at that kessil. I don’t need anything fancy since it inside a canopy
But I really like that light.
well I got my ICP test results. it looks like I have low iodine. In my last tank I had a refugium so I would dose iodine to get the macro algae to grow. This tank has no refugium so I am not sure I will dose any iodine.

So today I got my BOGO order of pods from algae barn. I already added pods from reef cleaner when I got my clean up crew.
So this will be my 2nd pod culture.
It’s never a good idea to chase pH it’s been proven that corals can grow in any ph 7.8. -8.5. I am just giving another choice instead of kalk. You will find that you can have good results using different methods. I personally don’t like kalkwasser.
I replied this on someone else post.
From my Expirience using kalkwasser is that it’s very hard on pumps. Using it on a ato is also a problem because you don’t evaporate the same amount of water all the time.
So you have days that you dose more than other and there is no way to make sure you...
You will be surprised how much alk is consumed by the tank. When you start growing Coraline algae it will consume alk.
It’s always a good idea to have everything ready before you need it. My tank right now doesn’t need dosing. I don’t have enough corals but in a month or so I should see a need...
I wouldn’t spend money on test kits. I would
Do a icp test. You can do one for $20.
That will give you a good and accurate of how your tank is doing.
You can use the icp test to also confirm the numbers you are getting.
I would worry about calcium too much.
If your alk is good your calcium...
I have only used Hanna so I have no idea.
Alk with a Hanna checker is super easy it’s two steps.
Calcium is a little harder but once you do it a few times it get better.
I have never added potassium. Just doing water changes and using Red Sea I have all my trace elements.
ESV 2 part also has...
So I finally installed the Neptune dos. I had it setup in my old system just to do water changes. This system is too big for auto water changes. So I will use it to dose 2 part.
I am using esv alk / cal and I will dose magnesium manually if it ever needs it.
I want to keep my alk from 8-8.5...
