You have to use purified water and it’s not as easy as the alk but I don’t test calcium that often. Done correctly you will get the same reading. With calcium I am look for a range.

That’s interesting. The dos is in the fishroom now so i don’t hear it as much. Before the tank was in the family room and it was very loud. I think when the dos dies I will replace it with the ecotech one.

Thanks I upgraded both. I think my problem was with the actual intake line I think it was clogged.

I wouldn’t sell my Hanna no matter what. It’s the only tester I trust. I have a Hanna alk/ calcium and salinity and I don’t need anything else.

The Hanna checkers has to be some of the best investments you can make in reef keeping. When my $600 trident failed I used my $50 Hanna checker to see what my alk was. Lol

Yes it is good but it’s old technology. Buying a apex in 2016 made sense now in 2020 not so much.

I send it back to BRS. I shouldn’t have to fix problems with a new product. I checked online and a lot of people had the same error. So people fixed the problem by replacing the input line. I didn’t want to bother at that point I was just upset.

My vote is for sand. I like wrasses that’s sleep in sand. I keep goby that eat from the sand. I have snails that live in the sand. I like sand in the display. No sand is for frag tanks.

Ok so it might be your cable. The new tv 4K use a higher grade hdmi cable. So make sure you are not using an old hdmi. Hdmi 2.0 is what you need. Also on the tv one of the hdmi port will have a label of Arc connect it to that port.

Yeah I would return it. I have the nori clip and it’s amazing. I have huge tangs and they would rip the nori right off the clip.
