I don’t think adding sand would be a problem. I have never done that but you should be ok. Fish don’t care about sand in the water. Removing sand from a tank is a bad idea.
Yeah I had two in my old frag tank.
I just dropped them in since I read some where that in nature they go from fresh to salt very fast. I dropped them in no acclimation. They didn’t eat much algae but they looked really nice so I left them in the tank.
I have a bunch of loose rock in my tank.
I mess around to much with scape and I am always moving stuff around so glueing doesn’t work for me. What I like to do is remove the rock and work on it outside the tank and when I am finished glueing I replace it back in the tank.
I am not sure. I had it set up in my last tank and it was nice.
But now I think it will be so easy just to do weekly water changes that it’s not worth it.
I was changing 2 gallons a day so weekly I was changing 14 gallons.
14 gallons is not a lot on a 210 gallon system. Especially when I add...
Today since I have time. I think I will tackle another project. Setup a water change station in my furnace room.
I already have the RODI setup here. So it should be easy to set it up.

I have both and I can tell you the Neptune was nothing but problems. I had the original ATK and it had problems all the time.
I have a tunze and I have done nothing.
Set it and forget it.
The atk was so bad apex had to make the ATK 2 that fixed a lot of the original problems.
Ato is too...
Stop reading reviews people are not smart.
Look at BRS video they actually compared it to a high end par meter.
This is the only par meter I ever owned but the numbers are close to BRS numbers at the same distance. If you can find one used that is the best.
The tank is almost reading zero ammonia.
The seneye does parts per million. So on any normal ammonia test I would already be at zero. The cycle has moved forward and the bacteria is working.
