Paul, I like scifi....grew up watching Star Trek with my brother, loved it! I am not however a crazed comic oddity. But really how could you not love the crappy acting in the original series. Kirk and his ability to say a sentence real fast then pause for one second and finish it in one...
I like the window idea. Super glue some tracks and have a slide across window. It would look like how Scottie the engineer in Star Trek used to look at the dilithium crystals in the original series.:chuncky:
How do you know when it's time to add more pellets? Do you. Teak the zip tie every so often for a peak or can you see through the crack left if more pellets needed?
Looking great! You might be better placing those frags somewhere on the rock....superglue em and if you want to remove it, easy to break away. If they love the spot off they grow and encrust. I only say this from my own experience that before you know it your display tank is crammed with frags...
I am so sorry you have had that happen.Time for a bogus set up with some basic beginner corals and of course a so called " nanny cam" recording it. Present it to your dad and if no results....move out to your own place ( Mike and Paul are right). Once there we are all here to help you set up and...
I have followed herbs tank thoughts...flow, flow, flow. If you ever saw his tank with all the various power heads going. Well I have 3 mp10s in a 55. If I had one more wall with avail space, I would add a fourth! I think the acros and some other sps get the majority of nutrients and building...
Austyn, if you need help let me know. I am off Wed and most weekends so can make a trip down of needed. Have some fun there, my wife's brother does mountain biking on the dunes at night, something to think about. Well be safe and enjoy the desert!
I find that the corals may need a little moving around till you find the best spot for them, sot of like gardening. If your pots have optics they may be focusing too much light down. The more par you have is not better. In my tank some corals have amazing color and others get a bit washed out. I...
I have a spare 120 watt blue/ white led unit if you need it. Should be more than enough to keep everyone in the tank happy. I see Paul offered the same, whomever is closest. I work tues, off Wed. But can leave it on my porch if you want to drive by.
