Anyone care to discredit this statement?

Ok, this may sound dumb...How do you test what the PH in your first chamber is? My effluent comes out of my second chamber only. Are you just disconnecting the hose that connects the first to the second and testing there?

    center brace on 120?

I've heard of people who have replaced the center brace with an acrylic strip, they left a small piece of the old brace in then drilled 2 holes in each side and screwed in (with nylon screws) a strip of acrylic.

Advice from big tank owners 150+

FWIW I have an acrylic 225g tank, I would stay away from acrylic if I were to buy another tank. It scratches VERY easily...and using a credit card to scrape off coralline algae just doesn't cut it. Even the plastic razor blades make it a chore. Unless of course, unlike me you can be diligent...

Both of your chambers drop? My second chamber has lost 2" (or less)...while my main chamber has been completely replaced with new media. hmmmm...

Anyone care to discredit this statement?

I always thought the second chamber was to help blow off excess Co2? I also have a dual chamber unit, and would buy the same again.
