I would still be concerned with it not eating EVERYTHING.

With 2 - 250's you will have a lot of light for a 90g. Yes, You could put SPS just about anywhere with that wattage. You will also generate a lot of heat as well. So, keep that in mind.
Also be prepared to move some stuff around until it get acclimated to the new light...or instead of moving...
You can also use a product Chemi-Clean. I've heard of people having good results with that. But I would try and rid the tank of it naturally before going to those types of measures.

The only advice I can give is, nothing in this hobby happens quickly except problems.
If at all possible I would try my best to not rush the cycle along. After adding the other 25#'s of rock you still may get a cycle, you probably wouldn't know for a few days though.
