Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I'm curious as to what is going on with them as well, but if you are from Marlboro, you must be pretty close to the store...considering it's in Marlboro...no?
The egg crate allows for more evaporation and air/gas exchange at the surface. It's also better for light penetration. You don't have to constantly clean it off like a glass tops.
Egg Crate is really a light diffuser for fluorescent lighting. It's used in drop ceilings. You can cut it to the size of your tank opening very easily. It's a great way to have a "top" on your tank without using glass.

Wish I could have gotten some better shots of the tank.. Only took one (that I could keep atleast!)
Deb and I haved watched this show from the beginning. It's really good. Although this season is lacking something...not sure what though!
It just amazes me the risks these guys take! The reward is amazing, but wow.. I don't think I could do that...40 hours straight, in those conditions....no...
I still get confused as to why anyone would want to get rid of copepods. They are a natural food source and if they are thriving your tank is doing well!
I have a hard time cleaning mine. There is eurobrace right over the top of the teeth. Bottle brushes don't do anything for the coralline, but will get off hair algae. I've tried using those plastic razor blades to get off the coralline, doesn't work so well either. I would be interested to hear...
I'm surprised RichT hasn't give you one of these yet:
Welcome to the club!
I run the relay between my press and the computer during the day. Atleast it's a way for me to lose some weight in between the meetings (or food fest I'm not sure which!)
Enjoy!
