I am considering purchasing a reef controller for my tank. I think overall it is a good AIO solution to give me peace of mind and ease.
What I am looking for as far as features are:
- easy to setup, as far as internet interface or on the controller itself
- time control over 5 outlets (MH...
How is your newest project coming along now that Christmas is over?
My tank is well sitting still outside starring at me, got the new wall framed and electric ran today. Hoping to be done by Friday.
merry christmas everyone:)
I work retail and find it funny how many people get upset when we have to say happy holidays, instead they reply with MERRY CHRISTMAS.
so this is the fuge/sump idea with the suggestions of members:
I'm trying to figure out how I would keep the flow from the fuge in that 15 gallon matt from draining completely? Probably run PVC high up and then let it "overflow inside the tube" it would keep the sand out and export nutrients...
how would I run the fuge to the sump? With the 15? I was thinking of finding a used 20, but then i'd néed to find a place that would drill it.
If you have an idea to mak thE 15 work I'm all for it though. So today I framed the new wall and knocked down the old one. I need to get an electrician...
Picture of my torch which has been in there for a few weeks now, probably closer to a month.
This is at night when it is about half closed. Thing is HUGE
Probably going to either A.) Dip the Rock or B.) Wait until the 135 is setup and then handle it.
Good seeing you today Steve, you can see what has consumed my life for the last couple weeks. 60 hours this week .....
So today my cousin came by we wrapped brine shrimp cube in a zip tie and held it by the entrance to his cave.
It is came out and I id it as a Xanthidae Crab. It is the first one on this list: http://www.chucksaddiction.com/hitchcrabs.html
Now to figure out how to get it out.
I am looking to buy 2 return pumps for a 135 gallon tank with a 30 gallon sump. It has 2 built in overflows and 2 returns.
Was looking at the eheim 1262s or comparable.
You're welcome to come by anytime and see the madness in progress.
Yes those are 3 open holes on the right side, jwcurry ran an external skimmer, and I believe 2 return pumps. <not 100% sure on pumps>
I wanted it for nutrient export and pod cultivation, ultimately I want to be able to keep a mandarin at some point after my tank is established.
the sump is 36x12x16H
First baffle is 4" high and sits on the bottom of sump, the second baffle is 7" and is 2" off the bottom, the third is also 4"...
