Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Fire shrimp do have those little claws that they can and will use. We watched a fire shrimp eat a small goby once so they will use them. I agree with your hypothesis.
I would avoid it, if he picked up and threw a sexy shrimp that would probably be the end of it. Also, they are so small in the act of picking it up he would probably eat it. Just think of it as another oppurtunity to setup a nano just for sexy shrimp.
The county courses out here in monmouth county are very good. If you are going to play out near gamblers and cream ridge, you should go to charleston springs. They have a north course which is a links course and a south course which is just a regular style. Both are generally in very good shape...

In other news, I made the next step into becoming a full reefer. I left the RODI on overnight and had a nice little flood in the bathroom.
Good and thanks for the reminder for this thread LOL.
Thigns are going well but slow. The electricity has been run and the plumber is putting in the slop sink this weekend. After that, then the sheet rock and tables are installed and the fun can begin. I got the sump (thanks to Ultra corals)...
This is a rally tough question to answer as all the salts are a little different and everyone will swear with their brand. There have been studies done on the salts but none really recently.
For me, I have used Aquavitro for the last 2 or so years and like it.
The point of a media reactor is to have as much contact with the media as possible when water goes through. They were basically replaced just filter bags as means of passive filtration in the aquarium. With the reactor the water is forced through the media which makes it much more efficient...
At that size, buy a calcium reactor so you don't have to worry about the dosing pumps.
For the reactors go with the MR xl or monsters:

I will be running mp40s in my 210, just multiple ones.
With the HQI bulb you will be able to keep just about any coral out there. You can choose the bulb that goes in there which give you some control over the "vibrance" of the coral so that is not really an issue. The issue is the heat, what is the ambient temp of the room?
