    Thirty 5's Deep Blue Rimless!!

To add on to what NikkiT said, bangaii's are not schooling or shoaling fish. When they are juveniles they hang out in groups but as they get older and bigger they will split off. If you don't seperate them out, you will have some violence and probably death.

    Nikon D7000 Macro lens suggestions?

If this is for the fish tank (which I assume it is) for the top town box http://www.avastmarine.com/ssc/do/product/rigging/Top-Down-Porthole They also have an extra long one. As far as macro lenses go, I have no clue. I know many of the people who have Macros for fish tanks say get at least...

I am sure Nikki will chime in later, I let her handle all that fun stuff.

mixing salt.. how much mixing is enough?

Generally when people are mixing and storing water they run a heater and a pump or bubbler in them. This keeps the water up to temperature and aerated so when it is finally added to the tank there is little change in temp, salinity and aeration. Generally you will mix water for a water change...

    Another accident story

Arvin we just went through something similiar a few months ago. Nikki was coming home from visiting her brother in law when a kid ran a red light and hit her car on the rear passenger tire and spun it around. We went to the hospital but nothing was wrong and she walked out of there. We paid...

    brown algae in sand

When I started in the hobby it was when my wife was in law school and we were down in Camden NJ. We went to a local LFS down there that sold us a ton of stuff that we had no business having in our tanks but we were not members here or on any website at the time and we should have done our...

    brown algae in sand

If you can get a cell phone pic up of it that would make it easier to identify. Considering you are new it is probably diatoms which is generally a very common problem with a new tank setup and will burn off with time. I really hate to be the bearer of bad news but here goes. You really need...

    more or less live rock

It looks like you are running everything HOB which is fine I did that for years so you don't really have a lot of extra room to play with besides the HOB fuge. I would probably keep as much as I could in there, but you could always look for more porous rock or try and change the design a bit...

    diy 180 and 120 sump

Just take the train, mount a few LED units to it and you even have lighting ready to go. This would be really easy, we just need a few salt shakers.

    Ds4x4's Marineland 120 Re-Build

Until your ammonia and nitrites settle down to zero, you are going to have those high levels as everything is passed down the chain so to speak.

    Thirty 5's Deep Blue Rimless!!

What type of damsels are they? Also I have never heard of damsels that eat flatworms. I would seriously seriously seriously reconsider adding damsels to your tank. BTW your rics looks amazing.

Convert the 10,000g koi pond into salt water, that would be my advice.

Nano's are harder than I thought

Nanos are harder to keep then larger tanks because your margin for error is razor thin. Any ammonia, I mean any at all is going to be deadly in that small a tank. You added more liverock which is good but your tank continues to cycle because you have to give it time or add an insta cycle...

    AQUASTUDIO NYC actual shop pics

We were there early on Sarturday and got to chat with Jamie and the crew. Came home with a few things and got to look at the 160xl again and realize how big it is compared to what we have now.

Sebae emmiting a white cloud in my 29 gallon biocube

I had snails spawning at one point that milked out my 30g. Large water changes and carbon saved the tank.

30 mins is not a big deal, as sunny said draping something wet on top of that is great insurace and will help.
