fyi on amount of water, i have a 2.5 gallon tank that i use for my water changes. with just the pump, heater and salt water, i can just fit 2 gallons. this is no sand or rock. the displacement of the rock will give you even less water.

do i just leave it there, will it eventually attach to a piece of the crushed coral like that and grow or is it too far cut to grow?
