Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
although led's are nice, i cant see paying that much for LED's on a biocube. i got the pc upgrade for less then 100 and it made a world of difference with the brightness
i am sorry to hear it didnt work for you. maybe i am in the minority that the trick worked. i have read many people saying it didnt work, and a few, including myself that it had worked for. this was on my old tank, so once i get a bta, i will try it and post whether it worked for me or not
rod had given me 2 nice mushrooms (among other things)
one of them floated away, and magically reshowed up tonight. i am not sure where it came from but its back
i am not sure if it makes a difference, but when i did it, i didnt use a flashlight, i used a light from the cell phone. it would go off after a while, and i would turn it right back on. i am not sure if it would make a difference, but i figured i would share it. once i got the clowns attention...
red sox fan here hoping the mfy (yankees) stink it up
i am getting partial season tix to the phillies next year. my boss is a huge phils fan and asked me if i wanted in
i found the manual feature on my camera. i never messed with it, just point and shoot. now i messed with it and got much better pictures.
i have been wanting to join the full membership, i am going to do it on wednesday (payday). i love this site, and all the members are super friendly and very...
you may want to try the flashlight trick.
wait until complete darkness and then shine a flashlight onto the anemone until it gets the clowns attention
it doesnt have 100% success rate, but it worked for me within 15 minutes
it must be complete darkness in the room and the tank, no lights
my clownfish has started eating again. whatever his problem was he seems to be doing better now.
hopefully it stays this way
thank you to everyone who has helped me out :)
small update
my clown is still living. i hope he eats tonight. him and the other clown were nestled in their sleeping spot together
man i hope he lives
i finally got the frag cup out, the mushroom finally attached so i took some tank pics.
i know it is still bare, but i am going slowly ;D
i hope you like it. i love the tank, even with the clown scare i have going on.
orange ricordea
green hairy mushroom(s) - it was 1, i think its 2 now...
my tank had hair algae on the rock i bought. i run good carbon and chemipure elite and all the hair algae is gone now. i did pull some out by hand, but for the most part, it went away on its own with the media (or once the cycle finished or both)
i wanted a really nice ricordea, and it was a good price, but the tank had a bunch of bubble algae. i decided against it because i didnt want it in my tank. my tank is clear of bubble algae right now, and i want to keep it that way
i am super careful with introducing stuff in my tank...by that...
here is a small update.
i fed them again. he ate a little bit. i had all the lights off in the apartment, except the fish light.
i was doing a bunch of research, and they said fish may not eat if they are stressed. maybe OG2 is right that he is being bullied when i am not seeing (hopefully...
i didnt think it was the batch of clowns, but i figured i would ask in case you heard anything.
i am just at a loss. i have had clowns in the past and this one stumps me
i posted in the masna ask the experts. i kind of merged my first post with my previous. i hope someone has some ideas because i dont want it to die. i have really become attached to my fish
:'(
