Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Sometimes it is not about the money you make but about how much you enjoy it. I know people that make a lot of money and HATE doing it and other people that can not stop smiling but are barley getting by.
I have a relitivly new Acro in my tank that has started to fade bad. Should I put that higher in my tank or lower? I figured that meant it was too much light so I moved it lower. The tank I bought it out of it was sitting at the bottom. What does everyone else think?
Looks like it is better than mine but I have mine hooked up to a hose line and is easy to use or not use. That one is industrial so I am not sure how you would bypass it without looking at how it is hooked up.
Ok, the stand has prgresed to a near finish:
Without any color:
Wish some stain and poly:
Now all I have to do is put the foam on there and then the tank is next! This Saturday is the big day! If anyone at the meeting wonders who I am I will be the guy with the BIG smile!
I know what you are talking about with the wood. Sometimes you go through an entire PILE of wood looking for something straight and still can't find ANYTHING.
I took out all my sand and YES it did cause a lot of nastiness in the tank but it all settled down and was fine. As long as you leave the sand with water you should be fine.
I just moved a 55 yesterday and everything survived. The only thing I think you may be missing is keeping the water warm if you do this when it is cold out. You may have to get a couple small heaters.
I have been posting the build of my stand under the general member section.
I would be glad to answer any questions you have.
CONGRATS ON THE NEW TANK!
