Totally off topic but I'm such an idiot. When I calibrated my refractometer. It said adjust to 35ppt. I thought it meant 1.035!!! My frag tank is at 1.016 and my DT is at 1.017 lol
Okay back to my skimmer... I cannot figure this guy out. I get it to where I want it and it looks like its gonna start foaming up eventually but then I look at it a few hours later and the cup is overflowing with water. Its like there is no in between. Does anyone know how high the water INSIDE...
Okay now I need help with making a shelf for my frag tank so I can hang my light. I want it look nice tho, not just an L bracket and a piece of wood ya know? Anyone have any advice or recommend anything?
Yeah, well I had to drop my salinity for the ICH treatment and I got it back up to 1.027 BUT I also did just calibrate my refractometer. I do have to do a water change on it again so maybe I'll test again after that and see where I am
Well I just tested my tank. My alk, calc and mag are all really low but I don't have any corals in there so they don't matter at the moment. No ammo, no nitrites, 10ppm nitrates. 1.027 salinity.
It was half and half. Live rock from my old 90 and the other half new dry rock from Marco which has been in saltwater since Feb 1st. Not sure of parameters, I haven't been checking bc all I have is fish now, no corals.
Kind of outta the blue question but how long do you guys think I should wait to put a BTA in here? I know they need an established tank and that's why I ask but I wanted to add one of these before putting coral in so it could settle in a certain spot.
Well I had an insane breakout of brown hair algae. Not sure if the white egg crate was the culprit but it had to go. Took that out and did almost a 50% water change. My corals weren't looking too good either.
The chromis and melanurus wrasse I had put in here are doing great, very active and...
