Love Reef Octo skimmer always worked great for me. Currently using Eshopps and seems to be a workhorse as well.

Agree, they work. But when the handle cracks or breaks its a pain.

Thanks Diana. Buckets just tip over and handles break, at least for me. No more room to store a 10g. Just wanted to store as much water as possible in a sealed container in case i ever need it quickly. Many problems lately and was caught off guard with no water and bought premaid at petco...

How often do you clean the canister filter?

I read 1ml per 10g of 3% peroxide. Purchased mine in the Dollar store. I estimated 80g total volume which would be 8 ml. I dose 7ml daily to be on the safe side.

The original statement did say growth so I think we should stick with that. I only say that cause some people have better cameras than others or know who to take a good pic of the coral. Maybe next challenge we could do color with some additional rules.

WC change is done and re-aquascaped a bit. Hope I did not kill any fish in the process. After adding chemiclean lots red stringy slime so I am guessing it was cyano and some was bubbly. I used a turkey baster and was able to blue the bubble stuff right off and gas exchange to surface.
