    Starting Bio-Pellets

that skimmer needs to be at a certain water height to function correctly...but I am 100% in agreement with you on the sensitivity...it is very difficult to tune...that stated, once you hit the sweet spot it's great. I used it for my clowns when i was growing them out on a 29 gallon tank.

I would say my skimmate has gotten a lot darker. I've got a waste collector so occasionally i will pour that out - but not very frequently.

Stale gasoline...how do you get rid of it in NJ?

Well I spoke to my local recyling area and they said it's considered HazMat and that the next date was May 19th in New Brunswick/Apple Orchard Road by the jail (didn't know there was one). I was given this phone # to call for further info 732. 745.4170. This would be for middlesex county...

    TFP/TPP Lancaster

ahhh TFP = the mecca of east coast dry goods. I don't go to the live section enough to comment but last time i was there I liked that they 1) labeled all fish in the tanks 2) Labels has prices 3) Labels had DATE the fish was placed into the tank Obviously to me the longer the tank has...

    Epoxy putty and skimmer craziness

don't you have a gate valve or something on the skimmer to just turn it back a little bit? Then when the epoxy effect has subsided, you can just turn the valve back to it's original spot (mark it with a pen or label).

Stale gasoline...how do you get rid of it in NJ?

Yes it is for the mower and never thought of that...thanks for the fast response! But I have another one. For the snowblower it requires a mixture of oil and gasoline....so that other container also needs to be disposed...suggestions?

    Local Inhabitants

@Matt - i know h.erectus is off these waters (heck i've caught them out of the hudson 15 yrs ago), but correct me here as I thought the risk with attempting capture of sea horses is that wild-caught horses: a) are very difficult to convince to eat anything but live food b) and may have...

my clown fish just had babies

Naaa...it's a lot easier than it seems - just takes some trial and error. Remember when we met at Rod's place for the NJRC meeting? I brought a few clowns as a donation for the club to raffle...I never did hear what happened to them...I hoped to be able to breed a few clowns for every meeting...

my clown fish just had babies

Anyways - in a nutshell, to feed the fry - you will need rotifers, and then graduate/wean them to some dry food (makes life hellva lot easier) such as otohime. btw if you don't want to spend all that money on otohime -the sample pack is perfect...especially if you are just doing a few hatches...

Don't panic, clownfish will readily breed and re-lay eggs like clockwork every 14 days. So while this hatch may be food for the tank, I wouldn't worry about it. I just wrote this list for someone else... Look it over..then decide if raising the fry is in your future... What do you need for...

    Harlequin serpent star and pistol

i think serpent stars are great and really cool. However big ones tend to walk around at night and they seem to find the nice niche that my jawfish built...making for a very unhappy jawfish. So now I am resigned to only small mini serpent stars that exist in the LR, coral nooks/cavities etc.

    Here's my Big Office System

bax - late to the thread but the 6100s...you know the hockey puck transformer is big right like if you put a soda can against it is much wider....the 6000s hockey puck fit perfectly like a coaster for a 12 oz soda can. But both will say "6100" on the box.
