Jay,
Definitely a water problem. I did a 5gallon tap water change yesterday and add 3 gallons of RO top off. I also added 3ml of Reef Plus. Today the big piece under the light is looking better and other heads started to pop out. Was holding off because I can't make RO in the winter, outside...
I agree. Seems the ones on the bottom center facing up are doing better. The ones on the side not so well even though they are facing up; just getting less light. I was also told to check magnesium level.
I feed mine every couple weeks with a turkey baster. I feed it brine, mysis, mixed with spirulina. The power heads are positioned well so it blows food over most of the LPS corals so spot feeding isn't needed. I have seen baby polyps growing out of it recently.
Jay,
What I have read and was told is that dried Nori has more nutritional value than fresh romain. lettuce. Some where on the web there was an article that broke it down.

I have had this for about 2 weeks now. When I first put it in I could see feeder tentavles extending at nigh but not much any more. Also the heads were some what with drawn and starting to expand but that also stopped. I moved them to different parts of the tank to have less flow and some more...
That slicer takes me back. My aunt and uncle had one that always was out on the counter. They would but the cheese and cold cuts whole and slice whatever you wanted when you would visit.
I used a turkey baster. I mixed ice with the salt water to make it cool, not cold. I would then put the rock upside with nem in the water. I would then blow the cool water on the foot and it eventually released. I would take one off you hand but you'er to far.
I have a very large CBS for over a year nad never saw it snack on of my corals. Including hammer, torch, frogspwan, bubble, etc. Could have been trying to get somen food out the coral and snipped a piece by accident. Mine feeds on anything I put in the tank such as frozen mysis, brine, etc.
I bought mine on eBay, great deal. Only problem was the vendor never answered my questions. The instructions sent were detailed but all about hooking up under the sink. My questions were answered but the terrific people in this club. I opted for the garden hose adapter.
I agree to get rid of the Damsels. I still have one in my tank and it bothers anything I put in there. Wish the little SOB would croak already. Angels you need to be careful with as some are bad because they pick on corals. I had one they killed many zoos, leathers, etc. Coral Beauties are...
I haven't seen the new store but was at the one in the flea market. Yes, he does have many cool items. To many for pictures to do justice. A few years ago my son wanted a samari sword and they had a nice looking one made of bamboo or some type of wood. This year for Christmas my son finally got...
I have had my sea hare for 2 years. Sometimes I will see it a few nights in a row and then not for weeks.
Jenn, you could take the rock out and scrub it, rinse, repeat until you're satisfied. Shouldn't kill to much of the live rock. Just have a good cleanup crew to keep it in check.
I never tried it with guppies was always under the impression they would be to stressed out from the salt. I did acclimate mollies to salt. Very easy with the drip method and only took a few hours. They reproduced quickly and the babies were greedily ate up. Only problem was the other fish some...
I only feed 3/4 times a week. Usually, I feed only 1 cube but if they seem extra hungary I'll use 2. I have a Flame angel, Purple tang, damsel, Pseudochromis, blenny, engineer goby, hawk fish, sbrittle tarfish; plus the corals.
