Okay it's been 3 or 4 weeks now that I stopped running my phosban reactor. However, I noticed the corals were doing better when it was running. That being said does anyone have a cup of phosban I can borrow? I am waiting for the group buy and will replace it then. I can't see spending $20 for a...
My company was kind enough to give me a remote setup. So, not only do I have work all day but have to find to shovel. I don't have a snow blower... :'(
I saw these a year ago when I was looking for good cheap pumps. If I remember correctly the lower price wasn't that great. I also Googled them and found they are that great. At least back then people complained about them breaking or completely stopped working only after 5 or 6 months. I would...
The goby showed up this morning but in poor shape. I netted it out and put it into a container again. However, I did notice that the gills were inflamed and extremely red. No other fish is currently showing signs. Any ideas?
Well, I cannot locate the goby but could be in the rocks. However, my flower anemone may have caught and is eating the poor guy as its closed up. To night isn't feeding night. I put some garlic in the tank just to boost the immune system of the other fish. Just in case.

I was just searching on-line to see how much it would cost to build one and comparing it buy one. There is no need for it to be pressure treated, all I could find at Loews or HD on-line. I will have to go into the store and look at what wood they have if REEFLECTIONS doesn't have the cage. I am...
I have an engineer goby for a little over a year. It is about 5" long and always hides until feeding time. Came home from work and noticed it out and swimming lazy/clumsy or whatever. I was able to net it out with no resistance. I don't see any physical signs of illness. I put it in a small...
Jceli,
Thanks for the info. It must be at least 24" tall and 15" square. I plan on making it 36" tall and 15" square; only because I have 8' x 3' fibermesh.
Phyl, the pressure treated part is my concern. What is it treated with and is it safe for the chameleon.
I am going to build a screen cage for a chameleon I recently bought. My question is will thiss wood be good to hold up the fiber mesh? I plan to staple the mesh to rectangle sections and then assemble. Any suggestions welcomed. The wood is Millstead 2 In. x 4 In. x 8 Ft. Pressure Treated Lumber...
The nems I had didn't like the dried krill right of the container. I had to soak it in water first then the nem would eat it. I guess it didn't like the texture, who knows.
I was wondering if anyone can see any downside to this approach. I find that I enjoy the fish more than the coral. Maybe because they just don’t thrive although they do survive. I was considering to get rid of the RR tank and go with a regular tank. I would omit the sump and phosban reactor...
Evoix,
Mine leaves the softies and shrooms alone. He would peck at the surrounding area of the zoas and polyps looking for bits of food. This caused them to not open much. Mainly happened on small frags of them.
