i got everything that came with the original box - packaging and all. Gotta love my brother-in-law - he keeps everything in case he decides to go to ebay. I didn't know the canon software is better than adobe - I'm used to adobe (didn't you notice the beach pics...hahah) but I guess I can learn...
yes - i need help figuring that out. I see a wheel to adjust the iso and white balance - but not clear how to use it. I'll have to test it but would be great to have someone show me...lol. right now the camera is getting charged.
Well the pics are a lot sharper - but I need help understanding this.
Here's the canon 30d.
30d after photoshop lightening:
and the old point and shoot:
yeah actually you're right - the tank is covered in aiptasia and hair algae bryopsis. Don't go. Just let me go myself so I can get the pick of the litter. LOLOLOL.
so judging from the comments so far - the glass itself will actually cost far more than the camera body ever will....oh that'll go over well with the wife. HAHAHA. And we said the reef hobby is expensive! it's a cupcake compared to the wedding cake photography is!
So tomorrow I am picking up a used Canon 30D from my brother-in-law at a steal. Him being a single guy and all and all that disposable cash (ahhh those were the days).
Anyways - I know Olivier/monroe reef you guys have some serious gear and would love input advice...
you're crazy paul!!!!! lol...i could totally see you doing the left handed thing.
I ripped the tendon in my finger and it was drooping all day (google mallet finger). My wife wanted me to go to the ER and I said - nah - it doesn't hurt. But when I went to see the doc - she told me i had to go...
by the way - when you go collecting - do you wear gloves? I'm always paranoid of something in the water that might sting me and heaven forbid I find out right then and there i'm allergic.
i'd love to see pic of the restaurant with 6 tables! i bet it's the best thing with the locals. When I visited Martha's Vineyard there was this place in menemsha called Larsens. I think they had like 3 picnic tables in the back. Across the street was this fried seafood shack...if you could call...
mark - that stinks to hear.
I have a question for the anemone owners- how do you anemone-proof the powerheads? or do you just hope that they lock in a spot and not move anymore?
the owner of this pic below says she removes any "walker" clones and they are not kept in her display. Basically...
greg - what kind of lighting do you have and how close is that to the light? I have a "purple bonsai" but it doesn't go up like that - it's been encrusting side-ways...(of course that was under LEDs...maybe with T5s that will change).
of course...
these are under my old LED lights though - they are darker under the T5s.
Here's a vid of them laying the eggs. I posted this before - but will link here again. notice the "reef safe" blue damsel...lol opportunistic little guy waiting for an egg not to attach.
LOL. That is too funny. When I was first into the hobby a guy sold me his cheato and it had all of these blue/purple mushrooms intermingled somehow. I dutifully pulled them out and placed them in my display. That was in 2004. 6 years later the tank is still around with giant shrooms...lol. Of...
Here's my old light - still works great but the colors were not cutting for me. I may put it back on if my clowns do not start laying eggs again.
new fixture:
I'm also getting a used DSLR. This is by far the best way to go bang for buck. I should get it on saturday. Then finally I may be...
Old pics - I forgot to post.
200 snails from reefcleaners.org. I wanted more from the GB but ended up just thinking my order was enough.
here they are in the tank - all lived. Oh I also had a porcelain crab - which is laughably small in the 120. Where's waldo!
lol so i've heard.
(so sorry inky for the hijack) Funny story - I was at the mall with my parents (they are on my plan) and I was getting them upgrades on their phones. So the guy behind the kiosk goes - what kind of phone does she have now? I shrugged and since my rents were there I couldn't...
nice thanks Bill...i'll try and meet up with you my next trip up to visit wil. now that I t5 lights again I'm looking forward to getting corals from him that will actually look pretty in my tank vs dull.
I lost track of how old these clowns are - this was the latest successful batch I had...
