i would feed it - thawed cut up shrimp or cut-up silversides. I wouldn't do it frequently since it can be sustained just from photosynthesis. But I side with the idea that if it has a mouth, why not feed it?

yellow tail damsel. Cheap, hardy and a bright blue. They are the least aggressive of the damsels. edit - though it may beat the chromis I see in there.

Why do you want to add more LR? If anything most people have too much LR in the tank preventing proper circulation and therefore causing more detritus/poop to settle in the tank. Anyways - if you do get more LR - ideally it's cured already - or even received from someone breaking down a tank...
