Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
welcome neighbor! you are in luck to be situated near 3 great LFS - red sand, aquatic obsessions and ocean gallery II. Before long you'll be outgrowing the 75 again! ;D
Paul - we definitely need a FTS!
No exp with that product - here's a good read on PH being too high. It's the problem I'm get more frequently. Perhaps it can shed some light into how to get your PH higher.

btw ph at 8 is fine if your Alk is 10 and Calc is 420.
Try taking a cup of water out of the tank - then aerating that cup of water and testing the ph. If your ph goes up - then your tank is not adequately aerated enough. It's a simple enough test without going to buy anything.
congrats man - sorry to see you move. You will miss the gas prices in NJ but you will love the no-state-income tax in Texas.
Personally I would keep the equipment if you bought it new - and the equipment is scaled to something you want to have in the future. Example - if you have tunze pump -...
Re: My Oceanic Tech 120 and a request for input.
hey man - happy belated...a few days late i know.
Question for you- the raffle frag you won at malulu's - where are you placing it? For the life of me mine just remains brown.
tunicates/sea squirts need phyto to survive. Good luck. I thought they were cool hitchers on my gulf-of-mexico rock - but in the end, I wasn't interested in keeping filter feeders (just my opinion).
Totally off the wall question - but I was thinking about taking some vaca and what a hassle it...
Hey what kind of urchin is that next to the Butterfly? The spines are a lot shorter then the ones I've seen for sale. Of course the short-spined ones I see are typically much thicker. Anyways - my point is - that's a neat looking urchin! lol.
Do you find it knocks over your frags?
So then you could run a frag tank not attached to anything - just dosing prodibio/zeo to make up the bac? Sorry not familiar with either regimen. Because I would love to remove more LR...
8 pounds in the display right? (implication is that all the LR is in the sump - like crazy4acros' tank). Or he had a deep sand bed (remote and in display) - otherwise I don't see how you maintain a 55 with a bunch of fish without some way to provide a medium for the bacteria to survive.
I brought my injured morning dove here:

It's in Millington which I guess is a hike for you. They take all birds - not just raptors.
But the website has good info regardless.
i love this tank - and was really impressed with the acryllic rods used to put the rockwork together. I wish I had his time/energy (sand, then barebottom, then back to sand) and money (losing a black tang...ouch) to do this.
i have this also...I don't like puncturing pipes so I didn't use the brass saddle valve - I went with the Y hose adaptor for an extra $9. Overall i like the unit a lot -it's bigger than I expected though.
