Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
So help me my physics teacher will think she taught lessons on me for naught (probably true)....but if we filled the tank to the full 1400 pound capacity - there'd be nothing in there but water.
The LR and equipment added into the tank will displace a portion/volume of water. I just don't know...
Ok so I didnt' want to hijack the other thread - but I saw that magic had a cleaner wrasse and Mike has neon gobys.
My question is:(and this is NOT a flame to magic/mike)
Is the cleaner wrasse a fish that can be sustained in our tanks? And better yet is it captive bred? Same question for the...
Hard to say with that pic but it sounds like just a bristle worm to me. I have several that build tubes...they don't seem to bother any of my fish or other inverts. Really small worms are more than likely just a meal for a fish...I recall once I snagged one out and was going to try and put it in...
if you leak test the 20g and are sure you're not going to be taking the sump out - you could take the 155 off the stand and try and drop the 20 in from the top.
you found the right club - panmanmatt knows his stuff on SH tanks...here's one old thread - but if you have more Qs definitely post em!
Seahorse Care Questions
10!!!! I imagine a very tiny percentage or so of the fish that enter the LFS get that kind of return on life...
It's really great/encouraging to see these kinds of results...
Anyone have any firefish they have kept long term? My wife likes them and wants one but I tend to think they are more...
Hey E...nice hour to be posting!...welcome to njrc!
Anyways I can't answer the question on the bulkheads but the club isn't purposefully centric towards central/south. I'd rather think that the members in those areas tend to be more prevalent on the boards. In fact I believe the way they set...
Sand Sifter does not eat algae.
Fighting conches are neat little guys but i'm not sure i'd get more than 1 for a 45 tank. What other snails or hermits do you have?
If it were me I'd remove all the stuff and then have it staged and have an open house. In this market unless you are really under-pricing the comps in the neighborhood any little thing (like a tank) may just put you to the back of the list for potential home buyers. Even if you do happen to find...
welcome to NJRC - for someone new to the hobby - starting with a 120 - well definite thumbs up here! You should definitely post some pictures...there are quite a few tale of the tanks with 120's...good info on each of them. Good luck!
I can see he has credentials as a vet and doc for birds. In addition I like the fact that he breeds his own and sells them (rather than more captured wild birds).
Not sure though whether that translates into being an expert to hold seminars for saltwater aquaria. Until one personally visits...
wait until the perc gets bigger and then get a much smaller subadult perc. They may pair up right away or the bigger one may just kill/harass the smaller one. If i had to wager - usually a GSM will win any battle against a perc...especially when that gsm grows.
