nice - is that the eel in your avatar? obviously one doesn't know how old the fish is when caught and delivered to the LFS/retail. Was more wondering how long anyone's kept a fish in their glass cage.

how big is the tank? i didn't think keeping two species of clownfish was a good idea unless the tank was large. The reason why they didn't fight previously is as you noted - the bta was introduced. It's like neither had an apartment to live in and you introduced only one hence the aggression...

Did the CUC come?

Is that a nudibranch mid-way thru? Also a deco crab?

I'm asking what type because certain species of anemone prefer the sand...while others need to be on LR. Maybe you could snap a pic?

I have read quite a few people cure their LR and attach a skimmer. Others advocate just more water changes....

I think jim covered a lot of them... Besides the acro crab - clown gobies are known to live in colonies of Acro. They do nip the coral polyps but in exchange provide needed nitrogen waste. The issue with these gobies is handling/transport to the tank...(and then proper diet). welcome to njrc!

hehe - actually according to my calculations - it's 60 weeks. $150 for a RO/DI divided by .50 = 300 gallons worth of water for $150. At a rate of 5g change a week, 300gallons gets you to about 60 weeks worth. after that you'll only need to maintain the RO/DI... Although I did not factor in...

what kind of anemone? If it has latched to a spot - you'll want to adjust your powerheads...direct current will get it to move again. Make sure you cover the intakes of your PHs.

Another opinion - Tunze streams. Or if you really want to splurge - maybe a wavebox with a pair of streams. what are the dimensions of the 155?

I was thinking why not just get a more powerful skimmer rather then get two? Are you thinking like a failsafe/backup?

I don't have exp with a corner but I have read that the cabinet underneath is really hard to maneuver/place equipment in. Congrats on the new home! My wife and I also are first time homeowners and I hate to say it but it's a big money pit! ;) At least you're buying at the (hopeful) low end...
