If you have no corals in your tank and very very very few inverts, go the hypo salinity route. Copper can be much harder to dose especially if it is getting absorbed into rock and sand.

We use chemi pure elite, some use purigen, some use both. Chemipure elite is carbon with some GFO in there so that kind of covers both. Also it is clean and easy to use.
