Out with the Old in with the New!
Got a new SWC160 and Aqueon proflex 2 sump.
First off, anyone with a 72 gallon and AGA pine stand.....This is your sump. Close to 11"x30" making it able to fit through the front doors without having to empty and move the tank while still holding a god amount...
Christine,
It is very unlikely that the blood shrimp is attacking them. Blood shrimp are actually a type of cleaner shrimp as well so they usually help the fish out not attack them.
Other than that Im not sure what it may be. With the Kole maybe it got the scratches by trying to swim and...
Being the first day of March it looks like the elections should be over.
I just wanted to give a big Congratulations to:
Tazmanian Cowboy - Vice President
Curt with a tough win against abstain for treasurer
Thermosts for DAL North
Adesimone1 for DAL South
The Cod_Father for DAL Central...
Thanks Jim, Ill look into the NAC 7 as well. Everywhere I read Im hearing the same about the felt socks, that they are very hard to clean but they do trap more...which is a little confusing being that they are both the same micron rating. I wouldn't think that would be the truth but I keep...
It looks like im going to be getting a new sump soon (Aqueon Proflex 2) so I just need a little help with this.
First- Filter Sock:
Felt or Mesh and what micron. While Im at it, are all brands equal or do some fall apart easier then others.
Second - Skimmer
I'm leaning towards the SWC 160...
Honestly Keith,
You pretty much have 2 options.
1) Sell complete setup.
2) Break down the tank and sell the individual components and pieces.
3) Keep your tank as a FOWLR during the move if you want to keep your fish.
If you sell the complete setup you will take a pretty good hit on the price...
I finally was able to swap out the stock lighting from my Deep Blue 48" Solar Extreme Fixture (Thanks Paul and Sid!)
And all I can say is WOW, I can't believe the difference the lighting made in my tank. I have an acan that I thought was washed out, purplish, and white. Now with the new lights...
If it makes ya feel any better I came home to my clown in the overflow as well.
Just be careful of the dorsal fins and you should be ok. Im going to try and find a good way to cover this up tomorrow. If successful I'll let ya know what I did lol.
Thank you Mike and Nikki for hosting an awesome meeting. Great people, Great Food, Great Frags, I dont know what else you could ask for!
Thank you to all who donated the frags as well, it was very kind of you and hopefully in time I will be able to do the same.
My wifes not so much a fan, more so a fanatic!
I honestly think the show is great as well. While I thought last nights episode was the best of this season, I can't say its the best of the show.
Andy Whitfield and John Hannah are such great actors that they helped develop every other character...
Very nice.
In regards to the fixtures I heard the same thing about the Ballasts burning out but it seems to be the early models of them. I have had mine going for 6 months without any problems and again like you, I just don't care for the legs, but at the same time I dont want to hang them from...
I have a Canon MP530 printer that I would like to give away to someone who needs. The only thing with the printer is it does not have ink. There is some black ink but all the other colors need to be replaced. It has individual cartridges for each color. Looks to be about $56 on staples...
There is no way Nikki or Mike would trust me with a crem brulee torch in there house!
I knew I set myself up as soon as I posted that....
May try to hit up Matinas bakery depending on when I get out of work. Anyone like crumb cake?
