I have this filter on my red ear slider turtle tank. It pulls in water and pumps it out but the water just doesn't get clean. I have the sponge, carbon and ammonia within it. Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks, Mark

Next week I plan to paint the room my tank is in. I will open all windows and use a fan for ventilation. Will also cover the tank with a sheet. Is there anything else I should be aware of? I am concerned paint fumes will get in the tank and kill everything or am I being paranoid? Thanks, Mark

Went to Keyport with my son and drag net; caught 2 nice pipe fish. My son caught some goby / blenny type fish in his killie trap. He caught 8 of them and I will try and post pics; they move to fast.

Well this is what my tank looks like after dosing Vodka, water changes, and Phosban. Is there away to remove the green algae other than scrubbing the rocks? Or should I leave it be? This hasn't grown but decreased a tiny bit. Any suggestions welcome, pics below. Mark
